1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Offshore Electrician

Used various types of cables with their fittings; ATEX, pyrotechnic cable, armoured cable, twin and earth. PVC firetuff, multi pair cable, CAT5 cable, fibre optic cable. Utilised mechanical protection gear and accessories for; trunking, flexible, metal and PVC conduits and cable tray. Wired mains cables for fuse cabinets, fuseboxes, rising mains and busbar systems.

New wiring, security lighting, alarms, entry-phone systems, fire-alarm systems including panels, break glasses, sounders, heat detectors, smoke detectors emergency lighting for local government, industrial, commercial and residential houses. Also installed all of the previous mentioned but with alternate European, Australian and American systems.

Dressed and connected internal wiring in control wiring cabinets operating various types of load: three phase pumps, motors, lights, generators isolators and relays. Worked with heavy duty three phase lighting for filmsets, concerts, theatre, exhibition etc.

Installed and dressed telecommunication cables from communications room in patch panels and management bars to a point out in a field and then tested. Made off fibre optic end and tested on OTDR.

Installed wiring for computer stations operating kinetic automated loads; analogue digital, PLC, mains cabling operating UV sterilising lights, protective and safety instruments, meters and measuring devices, cameras, sirens, sounders, transducers, heating elements, pressure sensor switches, optical eyes and various moving machinery.

Experienced in fault-finding and various types of testing and maintenance. Insulation resistance test, Megger testing, live voltage testing, polarity testing, testing current demands.. Capable of reading various sorts of drawings vertical, horizontal etc. and very versatile with adapting to use different legends and scales, procedures, rules and regulation.

Carried out maintenance repair and breakdown service to Carrier Transicold refrigerated trailers for trucks on machines such as Vectors, Phoenix, Maximas, Genesis, Supras, Summits, Thunderbirds, Xarios and also other makes such as Thermokings, TRS and Frigoblock . (all European brand names). Serviced and repaired electrical control systems for refrigeration systems including 3 phase electro-motors, generators, fans, heaters and all control equipment: contactors, thermal cut-outs, residual current devices, capacitors, relays, microprocessors, motherboards and printboards.

Serviced and repaired hydraulic systems; pumps, valves and mechanical parts, mobile refrigeration systems for trucks: 6 cylinder compressors, filter dryers,evaporators,condensers, and various mechanically operated fans and auxiliary equipment: pressurestats, air switches, start regulators, accumalators, expansion valve, quench valve, receivers three way valve etc.

Soldering and brazing with various different sizes of pipes, pressure testing with hydrogen and putting systems in vacuum with use of pump and meter sets.

Welding and metal fabrication competencies

Repaired and maintained: direct and non direct 4 stroke engines controlled via microprocessor and additional equipment; alternators, starters, exhaust, solenoids, sensors, fuel tanks, fuel lines, batteries and cables, mounts and fixings, bearings, seals etc.

Carried out maintenance and repair to ex-war US military vehicles to high specification, Humvees, Hemmits, 5 Ton trucks, M966, 88s, generators, M113s.Fitted reinforcement kits, reactive armour kits and carried out various modifications for all vehicles mentioned above.
Have experience with fault finding with solid state systems on, fail safe modules, sensors etc. Repaired and maintained wheels, towing and armour attachments, water fording systems, air line systems, spring brakes, abs, solid state electrical systems and various other special military equipment.

Repaired and maintained buses with can bus electronic systems including motor management and fail safe public service vehicles.

Repaired and maintained generators (400 Hz and 50 Hz hitzinger, Houchin, Hobart etc.) driven by diesel engine ( Deutz, Cummins, Kubota etc) with microprocessors, sensors. Put generators into service setting frequency voltages and checking power factor rating on full load, etc. Have experience of electrical repair on all the above electrical systems.

Maintained and repaired various types of airport auxiliary vehicles; Air start machines for aircrafts, trucks with rollers for offloading pallets, mobile elevating stairs, belt loaders, de-icer machine for aircraft, various aircraft tugs, scissor-lifts, electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles. Familiar with diagnostic equipment and test-banks.

Carried out electrical repairs on various kinds of ships including ROV, dredgers, container; fishing etc. Installed and repaired navigational lights systems (DGPS, GPS, VHF, etc ), echo sounder, depth meters, and various bridge control components. Worked with and/or revised resistor boxes, frequency drives, soft start drives for motors. Bowthrusters, jet pumps, vacuum pumps etc. Experience with Praxis control systems for generators, squirrel-cage motors, synchronous and asynchronous motors, and various other motors. Heat tracing, and other electrical mechanical protection and switchgear. Carried out electrical commissioning and fulfilled last guaranty points for ships internationally.
