I have 29 years experience in the seismic business. For the first 11 years I worked with various seismic contractors in both the field and in processing centres. since 1990 I have worked as a consultant, most of the time in operating oil company offices involved in seismic data processing supervision and QC of outsourced projects, seismic survey planning and design, and in acquisition support. I am highly mobile an dflexible in terms of the type of work and location whether it be permanent or contract.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

WORK HISTORY (Seismic Consultant) _________

October 2004 – October 2008 Cairn Energy India Data Processing Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To oversee the processing and related acquisition an interpretation issues of large volumes of 2D, 3D and 4D land, marine and OBC data from Rajasthan and other Cairn assets in India.
• To supervise the in-house dedicated processing centre provided by Geofyzica Torun as well as data processed by external contractors in Mumbai.
• To determine testing sequences, evaluate results and make recommendations as well as address acquisition/processing concerns expressed by the client.

September 2004 – February 2005 ONAREP, Morocco Data Processing Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To QC the processing of 2D land dynamite data from the Gharb and Haha concessions of western Morocco.
• To make regular visits to CGG’s processing centre in Massy Paris and to determine testing sequences, evaluate results and make recommendations to the client.

Main data concerns included noise attenuation, amplitude preservation, PSTM velocities and AVO analysis.


June 2003 – February 2004 Cairn Energy India Data Processing Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To QC and supervise the processing of different vintages of 2D and 3D streamer data and 2D transition zone including dual sensor OBC from the Gulf of Cambay concession of western India.
• To determine testing sequences, evaluate results and make recommendations.
• To represent Cairn’s interests in contractor’s Singapore processing centre and report to Cairn’s office in India.

Main data concerns included large tidal statics, dual sensor summation, noise and multiple attenuations, amplitude preservation for AVO analysis, footprint removal and PSTM.


January 2001 – June 2003 Hocol S.A. Colombia Seismic Consultant

Responsibilities:
• Multiple survey designs (2 x 2D and 4 x 3D) using OMNI software for the acquisition of seismic data in exploration and production concessions situated in the Upper Magdalena Valley of Colombia. Rugged mountain-front terrain.
• Acquisition and data processing tender preparation.
• Bid evaluations and recommendations.
• Dynamite source testing and evaluation.
• Advising and reporting to exploration team on seismic operations and data processing.
• Set-up in-field QC processing procedures.
• Data processing tests and QC (Bogota and Caracas).

All data were processed through PSTM and some PSDM. Main data concerns were positioning, statics and velocities.


November 2000 – September 2001 Staatsolie, Surinam Data Processing QC

Responsibilities:
• To supervise testing and QC the processing performed in Caracas of a high resolution swamp 3D from the Tambaredjo producing field located near Surinam’s Atlantic coast.
• To report and inform Staatsolie Surinam of recommendations and progress.

Data were processed through PSTM and the main concerns were resolution, amplitude preservation, and well matching.


August 1998 – May 2000 LASMO, Venezuela Data Processing Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To advise on all aspects of data processing including processing related aspects of data acquisition in the Dacion producing concession located in eastern Venezuela.
• To assess processing of a 2D test line with a view to determining 3D acquisition parameters.
• To set up in-field QC processing procedures and monitor performance of contractor.
• To perform positioning QC on all data using ECL’s QSolve software.
• To supervise all aspects of simultaneous dual processing by two contractors for quality optimization and report recommendations to LASMO.

Main data concerns were positioning, resolution, amplitude preservation, noise attenuation, PSTM, anisotropic velocity analysis (Interactive software developed by contractor specifically for this project), zero phasing and well ties.


March 1998 – November 1998 Pennzoil, Venezuela Data Processing Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To advise on all aspects of data processing including processing related aspects of data acquisition in the East Falcon concession located on coast of western Venezuela in a rugged hilly environment with highly complex geological structures
• To set up in-field QC processing procedures and monitor performance of contractor.
• To supervise all aspects of processing performed by two contractors.

Main data concerns were statics and velocities related to steep dips and a highly variable velocity field.
• To supervise and QC the testing and processing of 3D OBC dual sensor data from shallow water in Lake Maracaibo, western Venezuela.

Data concerns were positioning, linear noise attenuation (guided waves and mud roll), dual sensor summation and poor frequency content.


November 1996 – March 1998 Elf Aquitaine, Venezuela Seismic Consultant

Responsibilities:
• To advise Exploration Manager on seismic heli-portable operations in the Guanare Exploration Block located in the Andean foothills of western Venezuela where 1000km of 2D data were acquired in rugged terrain.
• Advise on seismic acquisition parameter testing and assessment.
• To set-up in-field QC processing procedures and monitor contractor performance.
• To supervise and QC town-based processing.
• To liaise with field-based personnel.
• To produce periodic acquisition and processing reports for Elf and partners including use of Geographix software for preliminary interpretations.

Main data processing concerns were statics and velocities.


October 1990 – 1996 Maraven/ PDVSA, Venezuela Data Processing Advisor

Worked fulltime (until 1995) for the Venezuelan state oil company based in Caracas Venezuela as chief adviser on seismic data processing.

Responsibilities:
• To advise chief geophysicist, project group leaders and interpreters on all aspects of data processing.
• Train local geophysicists in aspects of data processing and QC.
• To QC multiple data processing projects in all types of terrain and data types including 2D and 3D land and marine streamer and OBC, transition zone, dual sensor and 4D.

After working fulltime with Maraven until 1995, performed simultaneous data processing advisory/QC roles between 1995 and 1997 for various other oil companies in Venezuela not listed above. (Details may be provided on request.) These included:

• Lagoven/Shell (Lake Maracaibo 3D streamer reprocessing)
• Bitor/Conoco (Land 3D in Orinoco Heavy Oil Belt, south-east Venezuela)
• Petrozuata/Conoco (Land 3D in Orinoco Heavy Oil Belt, south-east Venezuela)
• Mosbacher Energy (Land 2D in West Guarico Block, central Venezuela)
• Tecpetrol (Land 2D and 3D processing in Colon Block, Zulia State, western Venezuela)

September 1988 – September 1990 Tensor Geophysical, Egypt Data Processing Supervisor

Responsibilities:
• To supervise multiple groups of data processing analysts each with its own projects.
• To train local staff of up to 35 analysts.
• To supervise all testing and make recommendations to clients.
• To process own data projects from all over Egypt including Western Desert, Nile Delta, Sinai and Gulf of Suez.


August 1984 – September 1998 Digicon, UK Senior Processing Geophysicist

Full time employment in research group dedicated to Aramco, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:
• To test new programs under development by the research group such as FX-deconvolution and the MOVES PSTM sequence.
• To develop processing sequences adapted to Saudi Aramco data incorporating programs under development.
• To present reports and oral presentations both within company and to Aramco.


January 1980 – August 1984 Geosource Data Processing Analyst

Full time employment on international assignments to Dublin, Cairo, London,
Madagascar, Khartoum and Karachi.

Responsibilities:
• 3 months intensive training in Dublin processing centre.
• Visits to field crews in Egypt and data processing centre.
• Data processing analyst with responsibilities increasing with experience from junior analyst to analyst running own projects.
