Project Engineer.

I am confidently managing the whole project as a Project Engineer / Project Manager (In charge) and coordinating with the SEC-SOA project Management department. Throughout the project, I have been involved in all phases (Engineering, Design, Procurement and Execution).
I am also supervising and managing the Tele Communication / SCADA Portion of the project very confidently.

Project Over view

 Construction of new building for 33/ 13.8kV Substation.
 Construction of complete Civil Structures, Transformer’s Foundations, duct banks and out yard areas.
 Laying of Grounding Mash for the Substation.
 Installation of 3 No’s 20 MVA Power Transformers
 Laying and Terminations of 630sq mm XLPE Cables.
 Installation of 33 kV (SIEMENS 8DA10) and 13.8kV (NXPLUS -C) GIS switchgears.
 Installation of ABB’s RTU-560 SCADA System.
 Installation of digital Power line carrier (DPLC) ABB’s ETL- 600 .
 Installation of SOE.
 Installation of DFR.
 Installation of Control metering and relay panels.
 Installation of HAVC System.
 Installation of Fire Alarm and protection system
 Modification in Communication and SCADA system at existing 132/33 kV feeding substation.
 Installation of Outdoor Coupling Equipments (Line Trap, Coupling Capacitor and Line Matching units) at both ends.
 Installation of DC System battery chargers and Battery Banks.


Responsibilities

I am managing the project and coordinating with Suppliers, vendors and Manufacturers to procure the Materials as per Client (SEC-SOA’s) Standards.
Being a Project Engineer / Project Manager (In charge) my key responsibilities are depicted as follows

 Manage and coordinate the activities of the Project Department.
 Manage budget and cost of all activities.
 Manage, review and monitor all the activities related to planning, Design, Engineering. Procurement, sub-contracting and construction.
 Coordinate with concerned SEC-SOA’s Engineering and Design Departments and Design Consultant for the approval of Design..
 Coordinate and follow up with Suppliers, Vendors and manufacturers for the procurement of Material and equipments according to SEC-SOA standards and specifications.
 Coordinate with QC department for the approval of material and equipment.
 Monitoring the progress of the project.
 Allocation of Man Power as per quantum of work.
 Ensure the Project quality as per SEC standards.
 Ensure to implement the SEC-SOA & company procedures in all activities.
 Coordination with Different Divisions for the Inspections of work i.e. PQUs & TAPD / TSPD
 Arrangement of Material.
 Preparation of Daily Progress Report and its submission to PMD Engineer at Site.
 Preparation of Bi weekly report and its submission to SEC Project management Department.
 Supervision at Site for the Execution of the Work including Testing & Commissioning.
 Supervision of SCADA and communications (Digital Power line carrier) DPLC and outdoor coupling equipments installations testing and commission.


Project (2006-2007) Extension of 33kV / 13.8 kV Al Sagrah S/S Al Baha

Site Manager

I have been efficiently performing my responsibilities as a site manger; I was physically involved t in this project. I have been coordinating with Client (SEC-SOA) and Engineering & Design Consultant from the beginning stage of the project.

Project Over view

 Modifications of Civil structure for Transformer foundations, power cable trenches and fire wall construction and switchgear foundations.
 Laying and extension of grounding mash in substation yard.
 Laying and Termination of 630sq mm XLPE Cables.
 Installation of 2 no’s New 20 MVA Transformer’s erection, installation and testing/ commissioning.
 Installation, testing and commissioning of 13.8 kV and 33 kV switchgears.
 Extension & modification of SCADA system according to new requirements.
 Installation of Annunciator panels.
 Installation of Battery banks and Battery chargers.
 Modification in existing Fire alarm system.
 Installation and commissioning of (Hathaway’s) SER (Sequential Events Recorder).
 Installation of RTCC panels and Protection & relays
 Installation testing & commissioning of CT’s, PT’s.
 Relocating and installation of 4 no’s of old transformers to other substations.
 Synchronizing the SCADA system with the main Network Control Center.

Responsibilities

As a Site Manager I have been fully coordinating with SEC Project Management and Project Engineering departments and responsible for the following activities.

 Preparation of Project schedules and tasks.
 Supervision of whole project activities as per defined project Schedule.
 Arrangement of material at site.
 Coordinating and conducting the meetings with SEC-SOA’s project Site engineer through out the project.
 Revision of layouts and Schematic drawings during the design phase.
 Revision of as manufactured drawings of the equipments provided by the manufacturers and putting the comments on non conformance.
 Preparation of daily, Monthly and biweekly progress reports.
 Preparation of inspection requests.
 Preparation of PTW, communication service requests.
 Preparation of Non-Conformance reports for the equipments materials.
 Preparation of Outage requests.
 Preparation and submission of as built drawings to engineering and design dept.
 Conducting the monthly Safety meetings at site with all the employees.
 Final Project completion and handing reports.


Project (2003-2005) UPGRADING OF LINE PROTECTION SCHEME &
COMMUNICATION NETWORK UPGRADING IN AL HASSAH AREA
WITH SEC-EOA (Eastern operational area)

Site Engineer

I have been involved in this project from the beginning stage (Engineering, Design and execution) where I Supervised the Electrical and Telecommunication (Fiber Optics and DPLC) activities very confidently and satisfied the client SEC-EOA by my performance.

My key responsibilities are depicted as follows.

 Installations of line protection distance relay Equipment as ABB's (REL531,REL561).
 Protection signaling equipment (ABB’s NSD 550 & 570).
 Installation of Remote Supervisory Terminal equipment (RST) ABB’s IMCI-100.
 Installation and Commissioning of RTU.
 Installation and Commissioning of Sequential Events Recorder (SER).
 Installation of Digital Fault Recorder (DFR).
 Installation testing and commissioning of Fiber Optic terminal Equipment.

 Preparation of Work permit Requests to install the Switchgears.
 Taking the clearance for Outages on the working feeders.
 Supervision of and Testing of retrofitted circuit breakers.
 Coordination with the vendor for drawings updating.
