1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

At present I manage a multi disciplined team of 30 persons (mechanical, E/I, storesman and planner) tasked with the maintenance, breakdown and overhaul of 19 pieces of major equipment and over 600 pieces of electrical and instrumentation including deluge systems. Equipment is dispersed over 5 fully operational platforms in the South China Sea which produce gas. This gas is compressed and pumped directly to Singapore. Crude oil is also produced and stored on an FPSO for bulk collection.

Major equipment includes emergency diesel generators, main gas fueled engine driven generators, gas engine driven reciprocating compressors, gas turbine generators & gas turbine driven centrifugal compressors.
Principle responsibilities are:
 Co-ordinate with operations dept to ensure maximum run time is achieved whilst maintaining equipments as per manufacture’s recommendations.
 Ensure cover available on all facilities so that response is timely 24 hours a day in the event of breakdowns.
 Report to end user performance using KPI and monthly reports.
 Ensure Condition Monitoring (daily monitoring, oil analysis, vibration analysis) for all equipment is kept up to date and action any concerns which the monitoring highlights.
 Manage performance, safety and welfare of all personnel, set standards and training as necessary. Keep up employee competency matrix and arrange training based on the competency evaluations.
 Manage QHSE set by end user and own company. ISO14001. OSHAS 18001.
 Call out specialist onshore support when required.
 Manage budget for offshore support. Project is $12M over contract length of 3 years.
 Build working relationship and team work between end user, other contractors and own company team.

Managing large scale projects with multi disciplined teams.
Customer interface requires excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
Working knowledge of ATEX, SEP and PED
Working knowledge of Permit to work, Job safety analysis, risk assessments, COSHH/MSDS.
Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Indicator Matrix (RCA & RIM)
Understanding of Customer’s commitments to sales/export contract nominations.
Experience with construction. Commissioning and maintenance of high pressure gas lift and gas export systems.

JOINED WOOD GROUP INDONESIA AS MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER (MTL) ASSIGNED TO STAR ENERGY’S KAKAP FPSO OFFSHORE OPERATION IN THE NATUNA SEA, INDONESIA ON A 28/28 ROTATION. THIS POSITION INVOLVES THE IMPLIMENTATION AND OPERATION OF WGI’S PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT (CMMS) WITH STAR ENERGY OIL COMPANY.
THE CONTRACT COVERS THE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE OF FOUR SOLAR TURBINES, TWO CENTAUR 4500 RELAY LOGIC AND DUAL FUEL GENERATOR SETS. ONE CENTAUR 50 TANDAM COMPRESSOR SET WITH ROCKWELL TURBOTRONIC II CONTROLS AND ONE TAURUS 60 TANDAM COMPRESSOR SET WITH ROCKWELL TURBOTRONIC III (CONTROL NET) CONTROLS.
ALSO UNDER CONTRACT ARE THREE CATERPILLAR GAS ENGINES DRIVING AERIAL RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS, ONE SUPERIOR GAS ENGINE DRIVING AN AERIAL COMPRESSOR PLUS ANOTHER NINE CATERPILLAR GAS FUELLED AND DIESEL FUELLED GENERATOR SETS ON MAIN POWER GENERATION DUTY OR STANDBY DUTY, NINETEEN UNITS IN ALL.
THE FIELD AND SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT IS OLD, WHICH MAKES THIS ASSIGNMENT A CHALLENGE TRYING TO ACHIEVE AVAILABILITY AND RUN TIME TARGETS SET IN THE CONTRACT.


2007 JUNE TO NOVEMBER 2007: EMPLOYED BY SOLAR TURBINES EUROPE, DUBLIN, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. THIS COMPANY IS A SUBSIDUARY OF SOLAR GAS TURBINES A/S, GOSSELIES, BELGIUM. SECONDED TO THE SOLAR FSR POOL IN IRELAND, THIS WRITER CAN BE ASSIGNED TO ANY SOLAR DISTRICT WORLDWIDE. AT PRESENT, ROTATING ON A 28/28 MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SOLAR HAS WITH CHEVRON-TEXACO IN CABINDA, ANGOLA. THIS WRITER IS SECOND IN COMMAND, RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE PM PLANNING AND IMPLIMENTATION, RELIABILITY ENGINEERING, BREAKDOWN INVESTIGATION AND REPAIR PLUS RETROFIT UPGRADES, ALL MANAGED THROUGH CHEVRON’S JD EDWARDS E1.
CHEVRON’S FLEET NUMBER OVER ONE HUNDRED UNITS IN ANGOLA BOTH ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE. THE FLEET COMPRISES COMPRESSOR SETS, PUMP SETS AND GENERATOR SETS. DRIVERS USED ARE SATURN, CENTAUR, TAURUS, MARS AND TITON ENGINES.


2004-2007: EMPLOYED BY SOLAR TURBINES EUROPE, NORTHERN EUROPE OFFICE COVERING DENMARK, NORWAY, NETHERLANDS, AND GERMANY PLUS EAST BLOCK COUNTRIES. DURING THIS PERIOD COMMISSIONED A TITAN MD AND TWO
CENTAUR GEN SETS ON MAERSK OIL HALFDAN PLATFORM. ONE GENERATOR ON MAERSK’S DAN FG PLATFORM. PLUS ASSORTED SERVICE AND TROUBLE CALLS.
LOANED TO SOLAR AUSTRALIA TO COMMISSION A MARS COMPRESSOR SET FOR ALINTA PIPELINE, AUSTRALIA. ALSO LOANED TO SOLAR’S RUSSIAN DISTRICT TO MAINTAIN 12 CENTAUR COMPRESSOR SETS OPERATING ON THE CASPIAN SEA FOR SOCAR OIL COMPANY, BAKU AZERBAIJAN.
CUSTOMERS IN NORTHERN EUROPE NUMBER SHELL, ESSO, MAERSK, BP, NAM, WINTERSHALL, GAS DE FRANCE, TOTAL, CHEVRON, PHILLIPS AND DONG.


2003- 2004: MACGREGOR AND ASSOCIATES AS SENIOR FSR CONTRACT CONSULTANT. AS A MACGREGOR CONSULTANT THIS WRITER WAS “ON LOAN” TO SOLAR GAS TURBINES, NORTHERN EUROPE TO ASSIST SOLAR WITH VARIOUS COMMISSIONING PROJECTS AND UPGRADES TO SOLONOX CONFIGURATION OF OLDER PROJECTS, ENABLING CUSTOMERS MEET THEIR EXHAUST EMISSION TARGETS.


2001-2003: JOINED MAERSK OIL, QATAR IN AUGUST OF 2001 AS TURBINE MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER, HOWEVER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED, MAINTENANCE OF ALL ROTATING EQUIPMENT. THIS POSITION WAS ON A 28-28 ROTATIONAL ASSIGNMENT OFFSHORE. AT THIS TIME MAERSK OIL QATAR’S FLEET CONSISTS OF 6 SOLAR TAURUS 60 GENERATOR SETS IN DUAL FUEL CONFIGURATION DRIVING IDEAL GENERATORS, RATED AT 3.8 MW (HIGH AMBIENT). 2 SOLAR CENTAUR 4700’S DRIVING UNION WATER INJECTION PUMPS. THESE ARE STRAIGHT GAS FUELED TURBINES AND 4 MARS AND 4 TAURUS 60 MD’S ON GAS COMPRESSION AND GAS LIFT.


1997-2001: PROMOTED WITHIN SOLAR TO SENIOR FIELD SERVICE REP (LEVEL 4). CONTINUING IN THE NORTHERN EUROPEAN DISTRICT WITH THE ADDED
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SENIOR REP, WHICH INCLUDE: TRAINING YOUNGER REPS, ASSISTING YOUNGER REPS WHEN SITE DIFFICULTIES ARISE AND FILLING IN VARIOUS OFFICE POSTS DURING HOLIDAY PERIODS AND SICKNESS.

1978-1980: TURBINE SPECIALIST FOR A CONTRACT COMPANY CREOLE PRODUCTION SERVICES, COMMISSIONING TURNKEY SOLAR TURBINE PROJECTS IN WEST AFRICA FOR GULF OIL CORPORATION AND CRESCENT PETROLIUM, SHARJAH IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
1975-1978: INTERNATIONAL FIELD SERVICE REP FOR SOLAR GAS TURBINES.
