Overview - During my time with Phoenix Marine Services, I worked predominantly in Potable Water Systems. I helped with scheduled cleaning, maintenance and inspection dives on our client’s water reservoirs, incorporating Reverse Hazmat Diving Techniques and utilizing offshore equipment spreads (closed circuit television and helmet mounted camera systems).
We had the good fortune of being aired on an episode of Discovery Channel Canada’s Daily Planet series, encompassing our techniques and accomplishments of cleaning and maintaining potable water reservoirs within British Columbia, Canada. As well as being interviewed in several local newspapers.
Furthermore I was involved with light salvage jobs entailing vehicle and small craft, working closely with local municipal rigging and towing services as well as local enforcement who would oversee any forensic requirements.
In between our regular scheduled diving projects, I participated in servicing and maintaining our personal diving gear, various tools (hand, hydraulic and pneumatic), welding packs, compressors and engines per daily, monthly and annual requirements. As well as maintaining the order, cleanliness and safety layout of our allocated warehouse space.
