In charge of all immobilisations and isolations to be carried out on all electrical and mechanical control equipment. Requiring a comprehensive overview and control of relevant risk assessment procedures to be performed, and the issue of all permits to work.
Being able to use diagnostic tools to monitor and maintain heavy industrial equipment with the use of plant mimic screens, and a comprehensive plc drawn package.
Control of services and utilities supplies ranging from hydraulic systems to remote operation of11Kv supplies.
Other duties involve fault finding and problem solving via GEC (gem 80) alspa and other plc systems including Allen Bradley
Maintenance of BBC, Alston, WNTC, Thyristor controlled drives, Gem driven drives, D.C cranes motors up to 240 DC AC. Drives and associated equipment up to 44KV
The nature of the job in its entirety is to follow routine tasks and inspection plans on a daily basis. To have the ability to rapidly fault find, diagnose and repair equipment in a continuous productive environment. This has to be carried out adhering to recognised Health & Safety standards, whilst keeping production costs to a minimum
