Over the last years I have acquired experience and knowledge in precommissioning, commissioning, start up, normal and emergency operation and also I improve my computer skills. Position: Shift Supervisor
Company & Location: FLUOR – Habshan Gas Complex Expansion - Abu Dhabi, UAE


In charge as Shift Supervisor for organizing coordination of operators, monitor ongoing construction activities for quality and completeness on electrical equipment such as panels and DCS & ESD System cabinets along with the Installation of field devices and the associated materials for each system on site, for the following Main Process Units and Additional Utilities :
Gas Compression and Feed Gas Compression, Condensate Stabilization, Acid Gas Enrichment, Sulphur Recovery, Sour Water Treatment, Steam, Condensate, Deaerator& Boiler Feed Water, Fuel Gas System, Cooling Water System, Instrument&Plant Air, Nitrogen Generation .
Supervising and attending to the precommissioning and commissioning activities : conformity checks, air blowing, steam blowing and water flushing of pipelines, chemicals cleaning, nitrogen inertisations, Chemicals loading, equipment running-in and operational tests.
Attending various meetings during the course of execution of the work, i.e. safety tool box meetings, management meetings, shift handover meetings. Reporting to commissioning engineers and commissioning manager, collaborating with sub-contractors, vendors and client ( GASCO )

• Period: July 2007 – January 2009
Position: Senior Plant Operator
Company & Location: Dietsmann & Eni Gas B.V. – Mellitah Complex, Libya


In charge as Senior Plant Operator for Sulphur Plant ,wich is configured with :
- Three identical trains ( Sulphur Trains ), each one including MDEA , Sulphur Recovery , Tail Gas clean up , Sulphur Degassing and Incineration Unit, Two trains of Sour Water Stripping Unit, One unit for MDEA Storage, One Unit for Sulphur Solidification

- Participating in Start up and shut down operations for scheduled revision or in emergency situations .
- Participating in the operation of the plant , revisions , repairing , replacing of equipment , etc .
- Preparations of lines and put in the technological circuit , exchange of dynamic equipment, preparation of utilities lines ( steam, air, water, fuel gas )
- I was in charge of monitoring the good functioning of the field equipment : absorption columns, regenerate columns, Stripping columns ,horizontal and vertical vessels, heat exchangers, Filtration Packages , Chemicals Injection, Thermal Reactors (Claus Burner : t = 1100 - 1200C) , Hidrogenation reactors , Sulphur Condensers , Incinerators ,steam generators, Steam Superheaters , Waste Heat Boilers ,Centrifugal Pumps, Blowers, Fan Coolers .
- I was also in charge of monitoring the good functioning of the Solidification Unit :
Shape of the pastilles ; Function of tegopren wiper ; Beltspeed and Rotoformer speed ; Tracking of the steel belt ; Tracking of all conveyor belts; Turning of all support rolles from steel belt and conveyor belts ; Transfer of pastilles from one conveyor to other ; Level of Tegopren Tank ; Functioning of water spray nozzle ; Steam , Rotoformer and cooling water temperature ; Differential pressure across the sulphur filters ; Pressure of cooling water ; Functioning of reefedbar gasket ; Sulphur leakages trough rotoformer bearing .
- Checking the solid sulphur storage warehouse and participating effectively to the ship loading operations .

• Period: March 2007 – July 2007
Position: Commissioning Supervisor
Company & Location: JGC Middle East FZE – Dolphin Energie, Ras Laffan - Qatar


Attending to the precommissioning and Commissioning the folowing Units : Slug Catcher and Scraper Receiver , Condensate Stablization & Condensate Treatment Unit .
Leak test , inerting, vessel internal inspections, lube oil flushing, checking fuel gas system, flare system, chemicals injection system. OTP for Pumps , Compressors, Blowers, Air Fin Fan Coolers , Chemical Injection, Hydraulic Power Unit, Steam Condensate system, Deluge System.
- Checking P&ID's, instrumentation and piping list
- High Press Leak Test ( 124 Bar ) , for Slug Catcher and Scraper Receiver .
- Prepare request forms to supply with different device (valves, gasket etc.)
- Prepare Hot and Cold Work Permit for different kind of activities.
- Check and update punch list ;
- Co-ordinate vendors and other disciplines during premechanical activities, as required.
- Obtain Certificate of Appreciation from JGC Middle East FZE for my activities in Dolphin Onshore Facilities Project.

• Period: August 2006 – December 2006
Position: DCS Operator
Company & Location: JGC Corporation – Sohar Refinery Project, Sultanate of Oman


In charge as DCS operator ( Yokogava – Centum CS 3000 ), for commissioning and start up of the following units :
Hydrogen Generation Unit , by Technip license (PSA of Hydrogen by UOP license )
Sour Water Stripping Unit , by UOP license
Amine Regeneration Unit , by UOP license
Sulphur Recovery Unit – 2 Trains , Clause process by Jacobs license
Tail Gas Treating Unit , Scott Process by Jacobs license.

Initial starting and checking the equipment, loop checking for fire & gas detection system, pump motors & fan coolers test running , monitoring and recording the parameters .
- Participating in daily meeting with commissioning manager ,
- Participating in start up, Run Test and Performance Test of these Units, raised daily report.
- Running with normal operating parameters at these units until handover to client (SRC)
- Obtain Certificate of Appreciation from JGC Corporation for my activities in Sohar Refinery Project .
Equipment being used includes:
Hydrogen Reformer. ( Top fired Induced Draft 284 tubes, HT Shift reactor, PSA Package, RCG Compressor, Hydrodesulfuriser (COMOX), Desulfuriser (ZnO), Waste Heat Reboiler, Claus Reaction Furnace, Claus Reactor, Thermal Reactor, Catalytic Reactor, Sulfur degassing System
Claus Blower, Steam Ejectors ,Incinerator, SCOT Quench Column and absorber, SCOT Reactor
Amine Regenerator, Hydrogen compressor, Nitrogen compressor (make up –ELLIOT TURBO MACHINAERY)

• Period: January 2006 – July 2006
Position: Commissioning Supervisor
Company & Location: JGC Corporation – TPPI Tuban, Indonesia


Attending to the commissioning and start-up the following production units :
Parex Process , Isomar ,Aromatic Fractionation .
Tightness test , Inerting, Drying, Boilers dry out, Mechanical running-in of pumps, blowers, air coolers,
- Checking P&ID, instrumentation and piping list, checking isometric drawings, checking DCS and field operating parameters,
- Supervising running of technological process until performance test.
- Obtain Certificate of Appreciation from JGC Corporation for my activities in TPPI Project .
- Equipment being used includes Mitsubishi Compressor driven by steam turbine, Niigata Worthington Centrifugal pumps, instrumental transmitter equipment provided by Yokogawa and Honeywell DCS systems

• Period: 2001 – 2006
Position: Shift Foreman
Company & Location: OMV Petrom – Petrobrazi Refinery, Ploiesti Romania


I had worked as Shift Foreman for areea Product Movement wich consist of Blending, Storage and Expedition Unit

- Coordinating and participating effectively in the operation of the plants, general revisions, repairing, replacing of equipment,
- Giving directions and supervising running of technological process for storage and blend component, to make finally products.
- Checking exploitation and maintenance of technological equipment and of measuring and checking instrument
- Supervising the daily technological activities, coordinating and participating effectively in start up and shut down operations for scheduled revision or in emergency situations
- Supervising the normal and safety running of the unit .Supervising the unit in emergency cases: loss of feed, loss of steam, power failure, steam failure, nitrogen failure, instrumental air failure.
- Taking decisions of changing technological parameters considering laboratory results to obtain high quality of products, adjustment the quantity of composition and additive for every type of finished products, like gases, gasoline and diesel fuel ;
- Controlling the transportation and manipulation of chemicals and petrochemical products ;
- Inspection blending and storage Tanks , checking injection systems ;
- To avoid the risk of simultaneous conflicting activities by ensuring that all work carried out within the operating areas of the plant are carried out safely, in accordance with requirements of the Permit to Work system and the all precautions and controls are in place and adhered to (as defined in Company Safety Regulations).
- To be responsible for the safe preparation of plant and equipment for maintenance, plant change and project and for the safe return to operation after the completion of these activities.
- Managing the employees towards an optimal running of the unit and obtain of high quality of finished products according with the procedures .
- Collaborating with every unit of the plant
- Raised daily report.

• Period: 1986 – 2001
Position: Field and Panel Operator
Company & Location: SNP PETROM - Petrobrazi Refinery, Ploiesti Romania

I had worked as Field and Panel Operator for the following Units :

- Sulphur Recovery Unit : 1996 – 2001 - Field Operator -
- Gas Fractionation Unit : 1995 – 1996 - Field Operator
- Parex Process Unit : 1986 - 2001 - Panel Operator

The Units are built under UOP license.

- Participating in start up and shut down operations for scheduled revision or in emergency situations
- Participating in the operation of the plants, general revisions, repairing, replacing of equipment, replacing of molecular save , start up after overhauling, etc

Sulphur Recovery Unit.
- Participating as field Operator in the normal operation of the plant , executed all operations ordered from the panel as :
- Preparations of lines and put in the technological circuit , exchange of dynamic equipment , preparation of utilities lines ( steam ;air ;water ;combustible gas )
- Monitoring the good functioning of the field equipment: absorption column, regenerate column, horizontal and vertical vessels, heat exchanger, Claus furnace(t=1200C)steam generators, Sulphur condenser, Claus unit, two- stage reactor, incinerator, centrifugal pumps, blowers, ventilators, conveyors .
- Collecting samples for the lab test .

Gas Fractionation Unit.
- Participating as Field Operator in the normal operation of Gas Fractionation heaving main equipment: absorption column, debutanizer column (operating pressure 12 bar), deetanizer column (operating pressure 26 bar), depropanizer column (operating pressure 17 bar) etc. reflux drums, condensers, reheater, etc.

Parex Process Unit.
- Participating as Field and then Panel Operator, in the normal operation of the plant , checking the flows, pressures, temperature, levels ; adjusting of running parameters in conformity with the lab test for obtain quality of Paraxylene , and in case of emergency ( loss of feed, loss of steam, power failure, steam failure, nitrogen failure, instrumental air failure ) , to take the needed steps related to the type and the extent of the emergency
- Setting furnaces fire and isolation of furnaces in case of emergency
- Set the program sheet of process computer and change of program according to the quality of the finished product ( purity of paraxylene ) .
- Ensuring the good functioning of the field equipment : Adsorption Chambers , Rotary Valve , Extract Column , Rafinate Column , Furnaces , horizontal and vertical vessels, heat exchanger , blowers , Air Coolers , etc .
