I would like to apply for the position of Commissioning / Mechanical Engineer in your esteemed company because I am very interesting in this position.

I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate who graduated from Yangon Technological University in 2003. After my graduation, I worked in Myanmar Shipyard at the Construction and Repairing Department as an Assistant Engineer. Following my stint there, I came to Singapore in March 2006 when I was offered a position of Assistant Engineer in the Machinery Department by Keppel Shipyard.

I am highly competent in interpreting and drawing mechanical drawings needed for all mechanical jobs. I am a good team player who is also able to work independently. I am also comfortable in leading project teams, and am known to be a good problem-solver in my past 3 work-places. I am also competent in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Software and AutoCAD. I believe that with my knowledge and experience, I can make an immediate contribution to your esteemed company.

I left Keppel Shipyard on April and I was working at United Ocean Ship Management Pte.Ltd as a technical assistant starting from 15 May to 21 Oct 2008.

Now I am working at PPL Shipyard Ltd as a commissioning Engineer (Mechanical) for new Rigs. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

(1) Myanmar Shipyards

Myanmar (From 2003 to January 2006)

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Responsibility: Experienced in machinery installations such as propeller, rudder shafting and propulsion unit as well as piping systems such as bilge, ballast, machinery cooling etc. Was the Group Leader in the Hull Department. Proficient in various kinds of welding processes, especially in SMAW as well as the inspection of welds thru destructive and non-destructive means of testing.

(2) Keppel Shipyard Ltd (KOM) (From March 2006 to May 2008)

Position: Assistant Engineer (Machinery)
Responsibility: - Carried out new installation and the repairing of all the machinery parts for various types of vessels such as various types of pumps, valves, thrusters, propellers, C.O.W machines, mooring system, anchor windlass system, I.G system, Marine engine, L.O system, H.F.O system, cooling system, air starting system, mounting parts of boiler system, steam system, exhaust system, hydraulic system, cargo handling system, underwater system, coolers and heaters, commissioning of systems, .etc.
- Commissioning the FPSO projects.
- Planning and scheduling of manpower and resources to complete repair projects on time and within budget.

(3) UNITED OCEAN SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE LTD (From 15th May 2008 to 21st October 2008)

Position: Technical Assistant
Responsibility: Assist the General Manager (Technical Department
for the following responsibilities.
- Ensure updated vessel specifications are available at all time details of all equipment on board.
- Ensure records are updated and properly kept during and on completion of dry-docking and repairs for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of the works and product involved.
- Complied documented reports upon completion of each dry docking, including summaries of works carried out and comparison of budgets and actual expenditure.
- Associate to source, identify and purchase technical supplies required for the assigned vessels.
- Raise purchase requisitions as required. Ensure all Technical Department invoices are correctly matched to PO and Do.
- Coordinate submission of Original Certificates to the respective vessels.
- Ensure proper inventories are made at regular intervals and retained for all vessels.
- Provide full admin support to the technical team (eg.Filing System, distribute correspondences, memos, data entry, etc).
- Retain copies of all Statutory, SOLAS and equipment certificates (life rafts, compasses, etc).

(4) PPL SHIPYARD PTE LTD (From 23rd October 2008 to Until Now)

Position: Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical)
Responsibility: Arrange and planning for Rig Commissioning Systems and maintain the systems after commissioning

Co-ordinate with Vendors and Production Departments to carry
out commissioning of all the systems smoothly

Prepare the commissioning report and carry out the pre-commissioning and official commissioning for oil rig marine system such as -
