1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
To Whom It May Concern:
The purpose of this letter is to recommend Richard for employment as a Crane Operator.
As a Safety Professional, Iíve had the pleasant opportunity to have worked with Richard over the past 10 months. He has exhibited nothing less than exceptional talent in any of the crane systems we have available here. Whatever size of equipment heís working with his abilities are the same. He constantly strives for a Safe, Efficient and Trouble Free Lift. His methods of planning are beyond reproach, he looks at all aspects of a lift prior to making that lift, and if it canít be done safely, itís not done. When the lift is made, itís done with skill and expertise in a smooth and professional manner.
Probably the one thing that stands out over the months Iíve known Richard, is the loyalty of his crew. They do not ever question, or appear to question, the directions given to them. They too, work smoothly and professionally along side Richard and around the lift item. They are completely comfortable around any airborne item as long as Richard is at the controls. I have seen them hesitate and in some cases refuse to work crew for other Operators. To my understanding this is one of the greatest rewards an Operator can receive; it shows the trust his crew has in his skill and abilities.
At first I hesitated when I thought about writing this letter because I truly hate to see Operators of Richardsí caliber leave this site. At the same time I also believe that a man should not be held back from advancement by a jobs need. This site will miss his expertise and I will miss watching an exemplary operator performing a vital function in this theatre of operations.
