1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Since leaving school in 1999 I have completed a Recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, gaining a vast amount of experience within the trade. On completion of my apprenticeship I continued to work as an Electrician, advancing my skills and building a reputation for my high standard of work. In January 2005 I joined British Telecom where I successfully completed a 17 week intensive training course, becoming a fully competent Fibre Optic Network Engineer. In November/December 2006 I further completed my E-side & D-side Copper jointing courses to become a multi skilled engineer. Furthermore, I was given a development opportunity to carryout a temporary office based post in the planning and cost solutions department. Within this post I became lead in number of roles and played a significant part in a national project to increase Broadband availability throughout the UK. Over the last year I became interested in the offshore industry and decided to complete my Offshore Survival and Compex courses to advance my career prospects within this industry. I have now been contracting offshore since March 2007 in various areas and roles.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
E-Tech Group: Offshore Electrical Technician June 2007 Present Most recently I have been working offshore Angola carrying out the Electrical Installation on a Well Head platform called the Morsa West. I was part of a team installing the complete interface system between the production platform and well head platform including platform lighting, well head instruments, transmitters and H.V circuits for Well Head E.S.Ps. I have also completed a number of trips on Shell platforms in the southern sector of the North Sea on a number of separate projects. I was firstly involved in the Upgrade Project with Amec on the Leman field platforms bringing the platforms back up to the standards required by Health and Safety. I then moved to the Clipper platform on the Back on Track programme until the end of 2007. From January - July 2008 I worked on the Shell Sean Papa platform covering a core crew position within the Electrical maintenance department. This role consisted of mainly carrying out preventative maintenance routines although breakdown and troubleshooting duties were also necessary as and when required.
Across the various roles my duties have included:
Carrying out PMs on HVAC, Trace Heating, UPS Battery Systems, Lighting, Nav Aids.
Carrying out toolbox talks with the work party everyday and when job conditions change.

Kaymas Electrical Engineering: Electrical Technician April 2007-May 2007
I spent two weeks with a team in Norway repairing a fire-damaged engine room on a dive support vessel called CSO Wellservicer. This repair work consisted of installing 4 new 6kv engine supply cables and re-wiring lighting, power and control circuits.
G N M Resource LTD : Offshore Electrical Technician March 2007 April 2007
During the month of March through to April I worked for GNM Resource and completed two trips on Maersks Gryphon Alpha FPSO. I was involved in a number of installation and construction projects. My main duties included:
Glanding and terminating Steel Wire Armour Cabling using Ex d & Ex e methods and equipment.
Wiring and installation of a new PA system.
Construction and installation of Unistrut and Cable Tray wiring systems

During my period as a fully qualified electrician with Wardah I gained vast experience and progressed my skills in the electrical trade. Furthermore, as part of my regular duties I was involved mainly in industrial installations. During my Apprenticeship I gained a vast amount of experience in the Electrical Trade. I attended college for 20 weeks in my first year and day release in my second year. This gave me an excellent grounding to progress and advance my skills. Whilst on site I worked in all areas of the trade learning from safety conscious experienced electricians. The attributes I gained from my apprenticeship were:
