July 2007 -Present
STRUCTURAL DESIGNER, Prosafe Production Ltd, Singapore.

Preparation of steel renewal & repair plans, Thruster installation foundation drawings, Foundation drawings for all new equipments, Module support drawings for all processing units on upper deck, and Stair ways, ladders etc. Using AUTO-CAD.
And site inspection in Keppel Shipyard regarding structural works.

Aug 2001 – June 2007 TRIBON HULL MODELER [Assistant Engineer], Sembawang Shipyard Pte Ltd, Singapore

Extensive experience in TRIBON SOFTWARE in M1, M2& M3 Versions (Cad-Cam).

Obtained professional training from KCS, NORWAY in 1995 and later in Sembawang in 2002 from Tribon Solutions.

Two weeks advanced training in TRIBON M3 VERSION in the year 2005 in all Hull Modules.

Extensively involved with 3- D modeling and Detailed engineering on a number of major projects, few listed below.
RESPONSIBILITIES AS TRIBON HULL MODELLOR
1) Creating Blocks.
2) To create the 3D Modeling according block wise using Planner Hull & Curved Hull modules.
3) Splitting of individual part generation for plates, brackets, and all kinds of elements.
4) Nesting sketches for plates, brackets and all kinds or elements.
5) Preparation of profile cutting sketches.
6) Preparation of assembly sequence sketches for individual assembly, sub assembly, and main assembly sequence for all blocks using ASSEMBLY MODELING.
7) Preparation of foundations and platforms in pump room, engine room, thruster rooms and all electrical cabin foundations using structure modeling.
8) Preparation of Block Drawings basing on the 3D MODEL Preparation of Seating Drawings using the TRIBON STRUCTURE MODELING for different types of equipments.
9) Preparation of NC-TAPES or NC FILES for processing of elements on CNC CUTTING MACHINE using TRIBON NESTING.
10) Preparation of drawings (1:10 scale) on polythene drafting film for cutting elements on CNC GAS Cutting machine. Developing dimensions for CNC Tapes for checking (10%of the elements) after gas cutting in hull shop.
11) Preparation of PMC Booklet “Plan for marking and cutting” (lofting contours) for plates and sections. Information for making rolling sets for rolling of shell plates in the transverse direction.
12) Preparation of pumps, Engines & Generators etc. using VOLUMES MODULE.
13) Information for bending shell longitudinal and shell frames. Associated widely various production departments to arrive at resolutions to practical problems during fabrication and erection of steel structures with special emphasis on shipbuilding.
14) Preparation of miscellaneous drawings using AUTO-CAD.
PROJECTS HANDLED IN SINGAPORE
1. DP-2 Pipe lay Vessel Sapura- 3000 for Crest Petroleum, Malaysia [Completion – Early 2007]

Modeling leader for complete Hull Modeling and detailed engineering scope on the vessel. Over 1000 Hull drawings generated by the Hull Model.

1. Deputed to PPL SHIPYARD, Singapore, from Nov 2003 to May 2005.

As Part of the Tribon modeling team send from SSPL to set up the first Tribon team in PPL shipyard.

Key member for the Project no. 2006 Pacific Class 375 Jack Up Rig for KRISTIANSAND DRILLING PTE LTD.

Block modeling, cutting plans etc.

2. DP- 3 Pipe Lay Barge Jascon-5 – Consolidated Projects Ltd, Sea trucks Group, West Africa [2002]
Major EPC project for the company where yard was responsible for the Basic Design and Detailed Engineering for DP-3 Pipe lay vessel.
Pilot Implementation of Tribon system in full scale for Sembawang.
Key member of the Tribon team all through the project.
Block fabrication drawings and all structural detailed engineering for Structural blocks and foundation drawings.
3. Jumboisation of Hopper Dredger, WD Fairway, for Boskalis, Holland

World’s longest dredger. [Multi site project mgt. Sembawang, Jurong, Karimun, etc.]. 55 m lengthening of the Hopper Dredger to make it the largest in the world.

New build of the mid body block and Jumboisation designs.

Tribon system implemented in a small scale on the Duck Tail Block for this project.

4. M.V. MAXITA Project for 3000 Tons SWL Crane Barge for SAIPEM. [Vessel renamed SAIPEM 3000]

Block fabrication drawings, Structural outfitting and detailed engineering for Structural blocks and foundation drawings.
