CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

I am very interested in speaking with you about the Project Management positions you recently advertised and I have attached my resume for your consideration. As you can see I am a highly experienced engineer, project manager, as well as an attorney and this is exactly the type of position I have been looking for. Given my diverse skill set and relevant experience I know I bring a background to this position that will allow me to make a difference.

With over 25 years of engineering experience in the petrochemical, refinery, industrial chemical, consumer chemical, hazardous waste, environmental, wastewater treatment and silicon wafer industries I have held increasingly responsible positions in process engineering, project engineering, environmental engineering, project controls and project management. Throughout my diverse engineering career I have over 5 years of direct project management, process engineering, environmental engineering and project controls experience in the refinery and petrochemical industries specifically at ConocoPhillips, Shell Motiva, Exxon and Ethyl Petroleum Additives facilities. In addition, working as a consulting engineer for a number of EPC firms I have many more years of process, project, and environmental engineering experience at a number of petrochemical and refinery locations working on project proposals, conducting site reviews and troubleshooting processes on an as needed basis.

I have participated in HAZOP reviews and have a vast background in environmental engineering to augment such participation as well as a legal background to further interpret the long-term financial and legal effects. My real strength in this area is being able to use my chemical engineering, environmental engineering, and legal skills together to further enhance the HAZOP review process.

With regard to process simulators, I have worked with HYSIS in the design of sour water strippers and I am familiar with ASPEN on a limited basis. I am also conversant with creating my own Excel spreadsheets in developing heat and material balances, as well as, batch cycles simulations, financial analysis and economics for a wide range of projects. I am highly computer literate and can learn new software quickly, generally becoming an expert in them and being the “go to person” if others have problems.

Given my background I know my diverse mix of engineering, project management and legal training would prove valuable in this position, and I would relish the chance to speak with you directly about this excellent opportunity. I can be reached at the telephone numbers and email listed below and can make myself available at your convenience to setup a telephone or personal interview.

Once again let me reiterate that I am very interested in this position and I look forward to having the opportunity to speak with you soon. Thank you for your time and your consideration in this matter.
