1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

As a Recruitment Specialist at Petroplan Limited, I was part of an integrated, in-house team at Husky Energy. My position required that I utilize my excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and sustain positive business relationships with Husky’s Human Resource personnel, Department Managers as well as prospective and existing employees. Moreover, my teaching experience in Japan not only exposed me to developing courseware based on adult learning principles, it also enhanced my facilitation and presentation skills to an advanced level. Lastly, my experience of working at Fukuoka Now Magazine in Japan not only developed the writing skills that I had already developed while pursuing my Honors Degree in English, but it also refined my strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

April 2008 – February 2009
Recruitment Specialist
Husky Energy Inc. (Integrated In-house Recruitment Team)

•Recruited exclusively for the Engineering and Project Management (E&PM) business unit by writing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, interviewing applicants and presenting high-caliber talent to Department Managers, Hiring Managers and HR Advisors.
•Actively engaged in employee relations and effectively collaborated with E&PM Managers, Team Leads and employees when mediating Contractors’ concerns/issues, coordinating performance evaluations, managing contract renewal processes and when reporting recruitment activities to Hiring Managers and HR Advisors.
•Negotiated salaries between HR Advisors and candidates, communicated compensation and benefits structure to identified talent and verbally aligned successful candidates.
•Coordinated and overlooked all work-permit and relocation initiatives for international hires.
•Facilitated Husky’s policies, practices as well as confidentiality and proprietary agreements in all matters dealing with potential and existing employees.

April 2007 - April 2008
Staffing Consultant
Mark Staffing Solutions; Calgary, Alberta

•Managed a client portfolio that exceeded 2 million dollars in annual revenue by sourcing, interviewing and selecting candidates for Administrative and Accounting positions.
•Developed positive and productive business relationships by communicating daily with senior-level HR Personnel and, or, Department Managers, as well as conducted weekly feedback sessions and monthly on-site client visits.
•Drafted and presented Master Service and Preferred Client Agreements to prospective and existing clients.
•Assigned to and lead an effectiveness study of the Corporate Suiting Policy: performed a cost analysis on current policy and alternatives, conducted an opinion survey involving fellow employees, presented findings and recommendations to the Leadership team and reported the revised policy to all employees.

AEON English Conversation School; Fukuoka, Japan

•Educated 80+ students in English grammar and conversation.
•Conducted weekly Counseling Sessions during which recommendations for further learning and development were reported to students.
