Mike’s broad knowledge of procurement and federal operations, coupled with practical field experience and business grounding has firmly established Mike as a leader and core member of high performance teams. Mike currently holds an active SECRET National Security Clearance.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Mike’s expertise spans Supply Chain Management, Channel Management, Logistics, Security Operations, Business Process Reengineering, Quality Management, and Government Relations. Since 1996, Mike has conducted numerous programs for logistics, channel management and business development at high growth companies and large organizations.

Mike is recognized as an expert in the transportation, business-to-business, business to government, and logistics fields based on the innovative solutions he architected and deployed in the public and private sectors. Mike has conducted numerous operations for risk mitigation and policy enforcement, and combined with his investigative background, has successfully performed and delivered complex due diligence for transportation, federal law enforcement, and the software technology field.

Currently, Mike serves as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S Army-Minnesota National Guard. Mike belongs to the 434th Chemical Company, a CERF (Chem/Bio/Rad/Nuclear Emergency Response Force) member, headquartered in Northfield, MN. One of Mike’s responsibilities is as the Safety Officer for the Company. This involves ensuring all company equipment is safe and operational at all times, all members of the Company are trained up on their respective positions, setting the training agenda and conducting Safety classes. Also, Mike is a Hazardous Materials Technician II, certified through the State of Missouri. In addition, he serves as a Platoon Leader and Decontamination Team Leader. He was a Reservation Center Supervisor for a transportation and logistics company.

Prior to this, Mike was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for US Customs and Border Protection. Mike was involved in conducting vulnerability assessments, threat analyses and vulnerability and risk assessments. He enforced immigration laws, ensured compliance with all customs and trade regulations, conducted criminal investigations, served warrants and made arrests. Mike was also an Aviation Security Inspector for the Transportation Security Administration. Here, he led teams to enforce regulatory compliance, conduct process testing, and perform comprehensive organizational inspections to ensure federal safety and security laws and regulations were being followed. Prior to the TSA, Mike was a Field Services Supervisor for Airborne Express, overseeing and directing a staff of 40 union drivers, ensuring that all delivery expectations were met. In addition, Mike worked with drivers to facilitate schedules and resolve any team related issues.

Prior to Airborne Express, Mike was a Government Relations Manager at a Dot-Com company, NetClerk, where he managed regional sales and account activity throughout the U.S. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with city and county departments throughout the U.S, conducting project and campaign management activities, identifying strategic channel planning objectives, collaborating with sales and customer service, assisting in service delivery, and executing key business development initiatives.

Mike also has a solid understanding of preparing reports; work flow delivery, exceeding in and analyzing customer needs, meeting deadlines, working with budgets, time management, and cultivating strong customer relationships.
