2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Professional Strengths:

• Developed and proposed optimisation strategies for improving well productivity and/or reducing downtime based on KPI’s and initiates pilot projects.
• Provided technical support to drilling rigs and worked in the area of drilling and complete fluids design and formulation, drill mud additives and chemicals, and troubleshooting of drilling rig problems related to drilling fluids.
• Provided troubleshooting to field problems; introduce new technologies in drilling fluid designs, use new chemicals and additives, through applied research utilising laboratory testing and evaluation.
• Performed the duties of a drilling fluids engineer on land based rigs in Northern British Columbia and Alberta utilising water, polymer and oil-based mud systems.
• Developed client relations, focused on drilling fluids programs and provided optimum technical and cost effective solutions to drilling fluids.

Operations Management:

• Prepared daily drilling fluids reports and supervised all activities/problems related to drilling fluids(i.e.)Stuck pipe, high deviation torque, sloughing shale, caving hole, lost circulation, fractured formations -total loss circl., H2S gas kicks with paying particular attention to safety and environmental aspects.
• Assessed oil and gas leases, batteries and gas refineries throughout northern Alberta and southern USA, including monitoring/sampling for site specific contamination, supervision of fieldwork and prepared reports.
• Performed all drill sampling and supervision, surveyed and monitored and groundwater drilling waste sumps, flare pits and ponds of well facilities throughout Northern Alberta.
• Conducted stack surveys (Source Testing) at oil and gas refineries, pulp and paper mills, coal and cement plants.
• Supervised development and sampling for monitoring wells and conducted O&M of fuel recovery systems at a pipeline spill site – USA.
• Installed underground storage tanks and drilling investigations at Mac’s Convenience Stores in various locations throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
• Performed tests for soil compaction, sulphates, concrete, asphalt vacuum saturation and extractions, inspected geogrid and polyliners, reinforced steel inspections and bearing inspections.
