Civilian certifications include: Pipefitter, Certified Welder, Certified Welding Inspector, Master Plumber, Valve Technician, Backflow Prevention Technician, Medical Gas Installer, Master Gas Installer, and Commercial Driver’s License.

June 08—Present—Lear Siegler Services. Inc/ EG&G, IRAQ – Welder/ Fitter
Planned and performed the fabrication, repairs, and modifications of metallic and nonmetallic parts, utilizing such machines as MIG/TIG and gas welding apparatus, engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature under cutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, and their associated attachments, accessories, and tools. Performed in progress and final inspection of maintenance performed to ensure all quality standards have been met .Prepared LSI QA-1 (Quality Assurance Form) and obtain customer signature of acceptance. Experienced with other metals and welding techniques such as MIG, stick and pipe welding. Knowledge of the use of both acetylene and electrical welding equipment, welding standards and trade procedures, processes and techniques. Ability to read and follow schematics, blueprints and other specifications.


February 08 –June 08-- Jake Marshall, LLC, Chattanooga, TN – Pipefitter/Welder
Obtained all certifications listed above. Promoted to Foreman of multiple major projects; to include Coca-Cola, Dalton Hospital, and Vesical Chemical Plant. Plan, organize and direct initial military training in all basic infantry soldier skills, to include Basic and Advanced Individual Training, and the Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course. Participate and lead physical training in accordance with Army Physical Fitness Standards. Duties involved security escorts, convoy security, mission planning, route analysis, security site survey, and offensive and defensive driving in high threat environment.

Performed required certification duties as pipe-fitter apprentice. One of 30 applicants accepted into the Joint Apprenticeship Training Center out of 200 personnel. December 94 - August 98 – Insituform Midsouth - Pipeline Rehabilitation Technician/CDLTruck Driver
Responsibilities included driving Class B tanker trucks, refrigerated trucks, and television vans. Required to meet designated timelines for all routes and deliveries. Simultaneously performed duties repairing sewer and chemical plant pipelines. Used Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) communications. Frequently required to utilize remote controlled camera and pipe cutter.

August 94 - December 94 - U.S. Army, B Co, 2/14th Inf Bn, 10th Mtn Div, Ft. Drum, NY – Squad Leader
Designated Marksman of a squad-sized element. Appointed as Team Leader of Personal Security Detachment for Battalion Commander and other Dignitaries in support of "Operation Restore/Uphold Democracy" in Cap - Haitian, Haiti. Duties involved site security, convoy security, route analysis, and patrolling. Honorably discharged from the US Army.

December 93 - August 94 – U.S. Army, B Co, 2/14th Inf Bn, 10th Mtn Div, Ft. Drum, NY
Designated Marksman of a squad-sized element. Appointed as Team Leader/Squad Leader of Light Infantry Squad. Graduated the Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course (BNCOC) with distinction. Designated Marksman/Team Leader of Light Infantry Squad in support of "Operation Restore Hope" Mogadishu, Somalia. Duties involved site security, convoy security, route analysis, and guarding Third Country Nationals Enemy Prisoners of War (EPWs) in a hostile and frequently unstable environment.

August 89 - October 93 - U.S. Army, 4th Ranger Tng Bn (RTB), Ft. Benning, GA – Squad Leader/Instructor
Instructed up to 300 Ranger students in Acclimation Week at Ranger School (Zero Week) in 12 required entry skills for enrollment and attendance.
