I would like this opportunity to apply for a vacancy and be able to gain future employment within your company as an engineer and continue in the training and development of my chosen career.
Having served a full and varied 16 year term within the Royal Air Force at various locations throughout the UK and Abroad. Working in demanding and pressurized environments carrying out maintenance and rectifications of a wide range of Plant Equipment, Airfield Arrester Systems, Mechanical Transport and other workshop items, which also include Lifting Equipment, Pneumatics, Gases and Hydraulics. I feel that the knowledge and experience that I have gained will hold me in good stead for future employment.
I am a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer with proven service experience. After leaving the Royal Air Force I joined Siemens PGR as a Wind Turbine Technician continuing my role as a mechanical engineer.
I am extremely reliable, honest and highly motivated individual. I am disciplined, determined, and enthusiastic and work to high standards. I enjoy travelling working outdoors. I am confident working on my own or equally as part of a team, being able to take control of situations as required. At present I hold an Eng1 and STCW95 offshore Certificates and I am willing and eager to gain the certification and any additional training courses required as part of my recruitment within the company.

16 years experienced in Plant Engineering and Mechanical Transport Engineering. Maintaining Aircraft Arrestor Systems and a wide variety of other workshop items which include lifting equipment, pneumatics, gases, hydraulics and also carrying out Defence Driving Duties within Her Majesty's Royal Air Force. After leaving the Royal Air Force I joined Siemens PGR as a Wind Turbine Technician where by undergoing further career development within the Energy sector continuing my role as a mechanical engineer. An extremely reliable, honest and highly motivated individual with proven experience of working in demanding and pressurised environments. Excellent communicator, both oral and written, possesses a can do attitude. Carrying out scheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, rectification and out of hour on call mainly dealing with emergency breakdowns, can be called upon to carry out construction of wind turbines as required. Delivery and collection of tools equipment and also the raising and completing of paperwork. Other duties have included Liaising with head office and our overseas technical support team in Denmark and day to day running of the site in the absence of the site supervisor. Depending on manning levels required by other wind farms within the company there is the need to travel to other remote sites to carry out similar activities.

Employed on first and second line maintenance and before use inspection team (BUI). Carrying out scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, rectification, refuelling, delivery and collection of equipment and also raising and completing all necessary paperwork. Liaising with Controllers and Section Commanders on all reported movements, faults and incidents and ensuring all powered and non powered plant ( GSE ) and Aircraft Arrestor Systems are fully serviceable and ready for use when required.

Part of a first and second line maintenance team concentrating on fault diagnostics and repair of motor vehicles ranging from light (cars & vans ) to heavy goods (articulated trucks, refuellers, specialist vehicles ). Other duties have included placing parts and tool orders with companies to replace damaged items and stock replenishment. Also out of hour’s duty technician dealing mainly with breakdowns.
Employed on first and second line maintenance and before use inspection team ( BUI ), maintaining a wide range of equipment, ensuring all powered and non powered plant ( GSE ) and Aircraft Arrestor Systems are fully serviceable ready for use. As part of a two man BUI team, duties have included refueling, delivery and collection of equipment and liaising with section controllers.
