JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Site management and supervision of specific allocated sections of the project as delegated by the Project Manager / JTC Management.
2. Co-ordination of quality control functions and documentation with the quality assurance and control engineer and site engineers.
3. Attend site, coordination and management meetings.
4. Prepare temporary site facilities layout and levels drawings.
5. Complying with all JTC policies and quality control procedures.
6. Complying with the established JTC safety policies, rules and procedures including enforcement on site.
7. Issuing instructions and giving directions to Site Engineers / Foremen to ensure completion of work in accordance with the programme and monitoring of the same.
8. Directing, co-ordinating and monitoring any subcontractors nominated by the Project Manager / JTC Management to be under the direct control of the Site Engineer to ensure that the quality of their work is as per contract specifications and completed in accordance with the programme.
9. Review and approval of subcontractor’s work procedures and method statements.
10. Review of short-term planning, ensure updating program of works , labour chart, network charts, material & shop drawing submittals schedule in close co-ordination with the Planning Engineer & update other required site engineering documents.
11. Ensuring timely submission & approval of materials & shop drawings.
12. Ensuring site house keeping is constantly in good order and that the site is kept tidy in keeping with the policy of JTC.
13. Maintaining site discipline among subordinate staff.
