PETROM S.A. is the leading oil, gas and petrochemical company in Romania and operates amongst other assets two refineries, one called PETROBRAZI refinery near Ploiesti and a second one called ARPECHIM close to Pitesti. In 2004 the Austrian OMV Group, a multinational company with subsidiaries in 33 countries around the world, acquired 51% of PETROM shares.
In 2006, PETROM decide to expand and revamp its PETROBRAZI Refinery and transform it into the best refinery from South-East of Europe. This project is called VISION 2010.

As Procurement Project Manager, I am deeply involved in this project and my main responsibilities are:
- Coordinate procurement activities for big projects (with a budget over 10 mil. EUR)
- Coordinate the team (8 people for PETROBRAZI and 2 people for ARPECHIM), take care of the workload distribution among the team members
- Prepare Call for Tender documents and send out inquiries to selected bidders from Suppliers Database
- Administer the tendering process, arrange tender opening and prepare Recommendation to Award
- Develop FEED, EPCM and LSTK Contracts draft together with related departments (Project Management, Financial & Taxes, Legal)
- Open up/tap new sourcing regions, trends and technology
- Perform negotiations together with Project Management, Insurance, Taxes and Legal
- Carry out the operational process before and after negotiations and selection of the supplier
- Preparation and negotiation of change order
- Compiles data for preparing estimates
- Deeply involved in the following projects:
- Feasibility Study for Delayed Coker Unit, FCC Posttreater, Tank Farm Optimization, Optimization of Utility System, OSBL Logistics, GDSR Unit
