April 7, 2009

Dear Sir or Madam:

My career in safety has been diverse, yet I consistently exceeded targets, increased savings, and provided the highest levels of customer support. I would like to briefly expand on a few of the qualifications detailed in my resume, to give a clear sense of my value proposition.

1) My industry experience is broad. I have worked or consulted in the manufacturing, petrochemical and construction industries. I have detailed knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA and EEOC.
2) I have worked both as a safety manager and as a safety consultant for large companies helping their safety managers recognize deficiencies and implement effective accident reduction policies/programs and training programs. This breadth of experience has given me invaluable insight into the mindset of employees and supervisors, and allows me to quickly obtain buy-in.
3) I have written, and implemented, detailed safety plans. I create tailored plans for clients that are both effective, and actionable.
