CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

For over thirty years I have worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as an engineer, with supervision experience. I started my career with Shell Oil as a field/evaluation engineer. While at Shell Oil, I requested and was granted an educational leave of absence to earn a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After five and one half years with Shell Oil, where I specialized in Drilling Engineering throughout the Rocky Mountain region, I went to work for Natomas North America. At Natomas as a Drilling/Production Engineer in the Rocky Mountain Region I generated prognosis to drill, complete, work over and test wells.

At Meridian Oil I worked as a Drilling/Production Engineer for two years, which included working on offshore properties. I then spent five years as a Joint Interest/Reservoir Engineer performing economic analysis (using ARIES) for capital and expense projects and evaluating reservoirs. My next position was a Production/Pipeline Engineer, working on wells in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. In addition to managing the wells, I was responsible for maintaining and optimizing gas gathering systems and the associated compressor stations, and working closely with gas marketing.

I then worked as a contract engineer, predominately for Riseden Services and Texas Independent Exploration, before becoming a full time employee for Texas Independent Exploration. During this time, my responsibilities included drilling, production and reservoir (for both onshore and offshore properties) engineering and field supervision. I planned, coordinated, purchased equipment and services, and negotiated contracts to drill, complete, recomplete, fracture, work over wells and install surface facility equipment for wells along the Texas Gulf Coast and in South Texas.

As an offshore Production Operations Engineer with El Paso Exploration & Production (Coastal Oil & Gas) my responsibilities included generating completion, recompletion and work over prognosis for wells in the Gulf of Mexico. I was responsible for fracpak design, execution and analysis, down hole equipment selection, log interpretation, flow testing wells and modifications of procedures due to changing conditions. I worked on simple shallow wells, highly deviated wells, wells on tension leg platform (in 1,400’ of water), wells completed in corrosive environments (CO2 and H2S) and deep high pressure and temperature wells requiring special alloy tubulars and completions fluids to complete.

My most recent experience has been with McMoRan Oil & Gas as District Production/Operations Engineer. At McMoRan I was responsible for all operations both on the wells and the platforms for several groups of platforms.
