More than 17 years experience in drilling, directional drilling, workovers and completions, onshore and offshore. I designed and drilled HP-HT gas wells with sour gas and horizontal wells with up to 6 legs, 600 to 800 m each.

Tasks: writing the drilling and workover programs, AFE’s, writing work programs, reports, evaluating performance and leading drilling operations for two land rigs. Checking the service companies invoices, making audits, recommending corrective actions.

Tasks: collecting data available from the offset wells, writing the basis of design, and the drilling program for an appraisal HP-HT well (4000 m TVD, 11000 psi, 200 deg C, sour gas). I was the first member of the team and my first hitch lasted 65 days before a back to back was found for me. The superintendent joined me after these two moths. Meanwhile I partially wrote the drilling program, contacted the available service companies in Hungary, sent service inquiries, prepared the documentation and the requirements for the wellhead and Xmas tree, designed the casing program, the mud, estimated the pore and fracture pressure, analyzed the service bids and made award recommendations.

Responsibilities: I was in charge with two jack-ups (Atwood Beacon and Perro Negro), writing the drilling and work programs and leading the operations. I led a team of 6 drilling engineers (Indian nationals mostly), mentoring them and getting their support in collecting data and issues follow up. My team and I were trained in using the Landmark package. At the end of 2007 the drilling superintendent I was working with, left GSP and I had to take over his operational responsibilities until my leaving, because GSPC did not find another superintendent for a few months.
Tasks: writing drilling & workover programs for appraisal HP-HT wells (5200m TVD, 200C, sour gas), preparing the AFE, bids evaluation, redesigning well trajectories, writing reports (weekly, monthly), analyzing technical failures, performance follow up, writing drilling procedures, sorting out logistic issues, kick off meetings and the debriefing of EOW

I designed drill strings, hydraulics and well paths for about 15 wells drilled in the Black Sea. During this time I was trained as directional drilling engineer. I have learned to work with MMS, MSS, DOT and downhole motors NAVIDRILL and TURBODRILL. Together with another two engineers I wrote a program to get real time data from DOT, bypassing the original computer which was replaced with an ordinary PC (a 40286 processor) and instead of few sparkling led we could see the well path in real time.

Leading drilling process. Setting of the drilling parameters – WOB, RPM, flow rate, updating the drill string report, drawing the tools ran to bottom - ID, OD, length, writing drilling report. Also I used to make balanced cementing plugs, coring, fishing bit cones, prepare and lead casing running or cutting. I drilled using Romanian F320 DEWL rigs, wells having 3000 meters MD and about 600 meters displacement.
