1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
Having been brought up on and island off the west coast of Scotland I have always had an interest in ships and decided to go to sea from a very young age.
Upon leaving school as soon as I could I went to sea and have been sailing for 9 years 5 of them as able seaman.
Lately I have developed an interest in going into the offshore sector because of its fresh challenges and opportunities for skilled and motivated people with that in mind I have put myself through numerous offshore courses with an aim to gaining employment in the offshore industry.
Ideally I would like to gain a position as assistant ballast control operator on a semisubmersible for which I have passed all required USCG exams.
Secondarily I also hold a Sparrows stage 2 offshore crane operators licence for which I would be willing to take a position as AB/Crane operator.
