Over 17 years experience in mechanical engineering for industrial equipment, heavy machinery, machine tools, and material handling equipment. Working experience as a System Engineer for CANDU Nuclear Power Plant (N.P.P.).
CANDU Nuclear Power Plant construction and pre-commissioning: quality control of systems piping and various
mechanical equipment in field installation.

• Extensive knowledge of engineering fundamentals and application of mechanical engineering principles including design and manufacturing of machine elements, equipment design, structural analysis and strength of materials.
• Working knowledge of the requirements of QA Standards and Codes: CSA-N285, 286, CSA-Z299, CSA B51, ASME BPVC- DIV III and VIII, ASME B31.1, B31.3.

Field Engineer – Process/Mechanical

Provided Field Engineering support to the DIF. Participated in the field implementation of the design to the DIF arising from DIF Change Requests and Field Change Notices for the followings systems : “Central Off-Gas Delay & Process Ventilation System”; “Purification “;”Active Ventilation”; “Active Liquid Waste”; “Low Level Liquid “;”HVAC”;” Plumbing and Drainage System”. Specific duties include :
• Field implementation of design changes arising from DIF change control processes;
• Preparing comprehensive work packages including work plans, work requests, work orders, and other documentation as required to support field installation activities;
• Initiating Field Changes Notices and interfacing with Resident Engineering as required to support changes in scope, design, or methods during field installation;
• Preparation of reports, history files, and/or history dockets as required to document installation activities;
• Handover/turnover of modifications to commissioning including the preparation of turnover packages;
• Assisting in the closeout of CR, NCR, and FCNs;
• Assisting in the assessment Change Requests and Field Change Notices;
• Participating in system-specific Modification Teams as either Modification Team Leader or the Field Engineering representative;
• Assisting in the planning of Field Engineering and Modification Team activities including defining work scope, estimates, and schedules;
• Carrying out Field Engineering assessments as required;
• Interfacing with the MMIR Project Management team and Resident Engineering and DIF Operations to resolve problems/issues as they arise;
• Interfacing with Resident Engineering and Procurement to facilitate the implementation of design changes to the facility;
• Preparing work plans and other documentation in support field activities; “ Prepare responses to issues raised by the Regulator when required;

Ontario Power Generation – NWMD, Bruce site Sept. 15, 2006- Sept. 2007
Mechanical Engineer
Technical support for maintaining configuration control, operation and maintenance of the facility. Reviewed the design of service air system piping related to standby air supply, radiation stack blow back piping, vacuum system piping and condensate drain piping while coordinating with TSSA for approvals. Also investigated operational problems related to instrument/plant air piping, spray dryer/cooler assembly, CO2 fire protection system to which suggested corrective actions. Prepared waste management documentation, bill of materials, preventative maintenance programs for compressed air/gasses, fire protection systems and cranes. Key Contributions:
• Performed system design, flow calculation, stress analysis, BOM and material specification for stand-by compressor piping.
• Designed compressed air piping layout, flow sheet and piping isometric.

THYSSENKRUPP NORTHERN ELEVATOR – Scarborough, Ontario 2004 to 2006
Mechanical Design Engineer – Engineering Department

Designed traction and hydraulic equipment for passenger and freight elevators to comply with applicable building and elevator codes (CAN/CSA-B44, ASME/ANSI A17.1, CAN/CSA -S16-01). Designed a wide range of mechanical hardware and systems, including power transmission, hydraulics, braking systems, noise and vibration control systems, and safety components used in elevator systems. Designed structural members (machine beams, sling, machine frames etc.), performing calculations of loads, strength, deflections, building reactions. Key Contributions:
• Instrumental in the design process of new marketable products resulting in increased sales and reduced production cost .

Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. & CNE-PROD Nuclear Power Plant 2000 to 2004
Technical Engineer
Prepared the design modification in order to prevent equipment or system malfunction. Supported the design, commissioning, configuration, operation and maintenance of the Shut down Diesel Generators and Emergency Power System (Generator Bearing Lube Oil System; Fuel Oil System; Intake Air System; Exhaust Air System; Starting Air System; Raw Water Cooling System; Glycol Cooling System; Lube Oil System; Chillers Building Ventilation).
Key Contributions:
• Provided structural analysis for pressure vessels, piping, valves, pumps, frames, beams, columns, joints, bracings, base plates, brackets, weld joints, anchor bolts considering appropriate Canadian and US codes and standards.
• Provided all project documentation, including BOM , maintenance manuals, structural calculations and thermo analysis.

Scientific Research Center for Naval Techniques 1998 to 2000
Mechanical Engineer
Provided all project documentation, including bill of materials, maintenance manuals, calculations and structural and thermo analysis. Designed industrial noise and vibration control products using metal enclosures, absorptive, reflective panels and barrier wall. Prepared production cost estimates, progress reports and other documentation.

• Designed exhausts systems for naval gas turbine and diesel engines .
• Led process evaluations and research to fine-tune and improve manufacturing, health and safety procedures.

Designed pressure vessels, blenders and material handling equipment to meet individual specifications and to comply with ASME, TEMA standards. Designed thermal circuits of bitumen storage tanks for asphalt plants. Dimensioned pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder systems for machinery and material handling systems. Provided calculations of stress, strain and deformation necessary for selection of materials and parts and for dimensioning of implicated components.
