CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

I am applying for a job opening. My résumé is attached for your review. Given my related experience and excellent capabilities I would appreciate your consideration for this job opening. My skills are an ideal match for this position.

During my studies of Geology and Paleontology in Germany and my Ph.D. program at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), I was able to obtain familiarity in different mineralization styles such as the Mississippi Valley Type during my Diplom thesis (German degree that equals Master of Science), or in hydrothermal gold deposits in my Ph.D. Part of my courses and internships was the data visualization by a variety of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Drawing programs were used to present data for reports, posters and talks.

Wide-ranging experience in geological mapping was acquired during several mapping field courses and work in Germany, France, Sweden, and Canada including my mapping thesis in cooperation with the Queen's University. In the period of my assignment as a teaching assistant at UNB I had the opportunity to supervise undergraduate students also during their mapping courses.

I played a leading role within several student associations and am now familiar with the planning of budgets, conferences, workshops, and field trips as well as with the supervision and allocation of tasks. My ability to work very well as part of teams added to my success within these groups.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

• Experienced in surficial geological field mapping, interpretation of gold-bearing, base-metal, and skarn deposits in combination with the creation of geological, structural, and base maps
• Experienced in detailed drill core logging and sampling for geochemical analysis
• Experienced with petrographic macroscopic and microscopic interpretation of minerals in hand specimens and polished thin sections to evaluate deposit value
• Experienced with geochemical data interpretation including software like NewPet, GDCkit, Geosoft Oasis Montaj, EarthView, ArcView
• Experienced in supervising undergraduate students during field work and field schools
• Experienced with the presentation of results with talks or posters at conferences or supervisors
