CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

To Whom It May Concern:

Please allow me the opportunity to tell you a little about myself.

My electrical/mechanical experience started in the oilfield/petrol-chemical industries in 1971 with an apprenticeship with M.C. Electric/Oilfield Power Systems/Bayou Boeuf Electric. I first worked in the motor/generator rewind/repair shop, advancing to the switch gear, motor controls, and panel board shop. I worked both in shop and as field technician on new installations and repair/retro-fit of existing systems. In 1975 I started work in the oil patch as on-board electrician and advancing to 24-hour call-out technician. My duties included all repair and maintenance of all land base rigs, shallow water (inland) rigs, and some offshore rigs; rotating equipment including diesel engines, generators, AC/DC, switchgear, pumps, mixers, shakers, blenders, boilers, etc.. I have been involved with complete engine overhauls, as well as the maintenance, repair, replacement and new installation of engines and generators for over 30 years. Work fields include oilfield, drilling, industrial, petrol-chemical, commercial, and manufacturing facilities.

Was in Afghanistan for 22 months as supervisor for O&M operations at military installations located throughout the entire country. Work scope included electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and welding tasks at remote locations across the country. This included power plants, water treatment, facilities, and remote generators at all locations.

My experience is not limited to repair and maintenance. I have a great deal of construction experience, as well. I do consider myself to be a good trouble-shooter and problem solver. I take pride in my work and I am pleased to be in the field I have chosen.

In conclusion, I have worked on a wide variety of machinery, equipment, and facilities too many to list. I am always interested in learning anything new and look forward to new challenges and adventures. Please feel free to contact any references on my resume and contact me if more should be required.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
