Responsibilities as a Planning Engineer :

*Managing the multi Crore Wadhava IT Park and Mahindra Industrial projects' planning & project control procedures and monitoring the project performance in Pune.

*Establishing project baselines - Project master schedule, critical path, scheduled progress curves, measuring/reporting project performance for the management.

*Liaising with the tender/estimation department to develop tender schedules, manpower/plant requirements, budgets and selection of vendors/sub-contractors.

*Evaluating & reporting schedule variances & delays to the management and identifying the corrective action plans.

*Generating and analyzing the project procurement schedules and notifying the management about logistical risks and opportunities.

*Responsible for maintaining planned vs actual progress 'S' curves and histograms.

*Planning and controlling the schedule using MSP, Primavera P3 & 6.1.

*Managing the monthly progress reports, contractor invoices and working with cost engineers on project budget.

*Responsible for preparation of construction management and site policies and actively involving in design constructability.

*Coordinating with different levels of project management team and leading weekly project performance meeting with subcontractors and reporting weekly to the client's progress meeting.

BG Shirke (BGS) Construction Technology Pvt Ltd:
Jul ‘07 - Mar 2008 (Chennai )

BGS was established in 1955 as B.G. Shirke & Company, a partnership firm in Pune, Maharashtra. Building construction is the major activity for the company and it has undertaken projects involving various types of building works, using conventional prefabricated and tunnel form technology. BGS is an ISO 9001 accredited company.


Responsibilities as a Junior Planning Engineer :

*Managed the entire planning activities for a major contract, value over
Rs.150 crores for the client “Wipro” in Chennai.

*Maintained all the daily site progress, gradual monitoring and allocating the project materials, logistics routes and assigning the resources by using MSP software.

*Closely interacted with engineering subcontractors and ensured that the planning working practices accord with the project standards, procedures and needs.

*Seamlessly analyzed the real status of the project to find the CPM (critical path method), WBS (work break down structure) and took the corrective action.

*Developed project specific controlling and reporting tools; project planning, cost reporting and maintained status data and produce reports fortnightly basis.

*Responsible for work activity progress reporting and regular update of plans and schedules. And scheduled the project dates by using Primavera software.

*Actively handled activity plans, including ongoing update, change control, progress reporting.
