Security Officer: Carry out the twelve (12) general orders, remain alert and attentive at all times to ensure maximum security, challenging all suspicious person(s) or parties on or in the immediate vicinity of post. As soon as practicable, report immediately any unusual incident and refer any apprehended person(s) to department desk sergeant or security office via handheld radio, telephone, and other source of communication.

Recording such things in the logbook, indicating the name of the person, vehicle, plate number, date, time, destination, and purpose. Endorsing and acknowledging unsecured items/materials/equipments within the vicinity before and after tour of duty.
 Ensuring that all personnel/employees display their identification cards at all times before entering and after exiting the compound.
 In the event of any actual or suspected intrusion or whenever a situation exits which would cause reasonable belief that an intrusion may occur, immediate assistance will be requested to department desk sergeant or security office.
 Maintaining cleanliness of post at all times and reporting immediately any unnecessary writings or signs of vandalism.
 Granting immediate access on security/fire units and medical personnel responding to an emergency within the compound.
