Assist Rig Manager Assets for deepwater drill rig in day to day operations of rig. Budget preparations, quote/bid submittals, out of service period project management. Assist offshore rig supervisors with technical information, research for replacement products or upgrades to current systems. Manage project preparation with budget of 35 million dollars. Coordinate information gathering, creation of scope of work, work with subject matter experts in regard to the project.

Oct 07 – Present Position: Operations Support Engineer III, C.R. Luigs
Organize pre bid information for Fast Rescue Craft Project, Lifeboat Winch Replacement Project, Accommodations Upgrade Project, Lifeboat Addition Project, and Galley Modifications Upgrade Project. Arrange bids from vendor. Support rig management with field observations of proposed upgrades and projects. Coordinate communication and services through third party contractors and GlobalSantaFe personnel. Ensure on time, under budget delivery of materials and services.

Aug 07 – Sep 07 Position: Operations Support Engineer II, Sales and Contracts, Houston Office,
Assist in the preparation of Tenders, Bids, and Prequalification letters. Compiled prequalification letter for Nigerian bid. Assisted in the compilation of rig forecasting models. Produced, printed, bound and distributed bids, tenders, and prequalification letters.

Mar 07 – July 07 Position: Operations Support Engineer II, Saudi Project, Lamprell Shipyard, Port Kahlid, Sharjah United Arab Emirates,
Compiled, recorded, and submitted the customs, visa, and other documents for the rigs entrance into Saudi waters and ports. Ensured cooperation from indigenous staff and adherence to company safety and corporate policies. Coordinated the certification process for existing and newly installed equipment for the Main Pass I, Main Pass IV, High Island II, and High Island IV. Ensured completion of new hire orientation for personnel entering the shipyard and rigs for the first time. Assisted rig management with reporting and monitoring safety procedures in the shipyard. Produced manuals for use by rig personnel on new equipment and existing equipment. Instructed rig personnel in use of personal computers and office equipment.

Nov 06 – Mar 07 Position: Operations Support Engineer II, Development Driller II,
Assist shore based management with documents and purchasing for rig. Assist shore based management with information allocation and dispersal in Houston office and to rig. Work with drilling department, subsea department, and safety department to ensure operations are performed efficiently and safely. Produce reports and presentations for the shore based management and rig based management on various subjects.

Jul 06 – Nov 06 Position: Safety Training Coordinator, Development Driller II,

Conduct pretour safety meetings and weekly night safety meetings. Submit training requests for offshore personnel. Submit incident reports for injuries, near misses, and environmental events. Conduct certification classes, and administer VTMs. Actively participate in JRAs and Permits on rig to ensure comprehension and compliance with policies. Communicate rig based situations to shore based personnel. Participate in man power advancement for personnel seeking promotion. Ensure new personnel are familiar with policies and safety culture on board rig.

Jan 06 – Jul 06 Position : Roughneck, Development Driller II,
Perform maintenance and servicing of hydraulic equipment on rig floor. Make up and break out drill pipe in the drill string. Make up casing and tubing. Perform derrick inspections as part of DROPS program. Perform blow out drills on rig floor. Rig up and rig down riser handling equipment for riser running. Ensure proper operation of fingerboards and pipe racking systems by visual inspections and hands on inspections. Safely operate cat walk machine, MPMA, articulate roughneck, flatbed cart and tuggers during operations. Write, revise, and participate in JRAs for operations on drill floor and moon pool area.

Jul 05 – Dec 05 Position : Roustabout, Development Driller II
Perform rigging and slinging operations on deck. Perform preventative maintenance on cranes and lifting equipment. Clean, organize deck space above and below decks. Participate in JRAs for lifting and general deck operations. Ensure safe operation of cranes in tight working areas and blind spots. Perform lifts from workboats and crew boats safely and effectively. Perform personnel transfers to work boats and crew boats, following GlobalSantaFe policies and procedures. Perform helicopter loading, unloading, and refueling operations.
