Job Title : Cost Control Engineer
Basic Function :
 Under the direction of the Project Support Service Manager and/or Lead Cost Control, to be responsible for analyzing operating results against past results, budgets and forecasts to identify expense overruns, trends, areas of inefficiency and waste, and opportunities for improvement and cost control. This position assists in detecting and correcting problems and with the implementation of cost savings and expense control programs.
Authorized :
 The position of Cost Controller shall have the authority of the Project Service Manager of PT. Bakrie Construction to act and make decisions as defined by the responsibilities above.
Duties and Responsibilities :
 Analyzing projects expense by category as compared to budget and prepare forecasts and budgets.
 Prepare project cash flow
 Performing in-depth analysis and reporting of projects costs all categories
 Constantly evaluate and update the accuracy of the project cost forecast (Estimate at Completion - EAC) by assessing actual costs incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of a project(Engineering,Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning).
 Provide efficiency control by comparing actual and planned man-hours.
 Utilizing and developing effective reporting and analysis tools. Set up and maintain jobs (i.e. structure and budget in ERP system)
 Analyzing project expense variances compared to budget and recent trends as part of the review process for the month-end close. Consolidate data in Project Cost Report for Project Manager's review and approval. Support Project Manager in change order management.
 Support Project Managers by collecting all relevant progress and cost data from Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction and Accounting.
 Developing forecasting tools in order to project future expense levels based upon changes in operating conditions, cost structures or initiatives.
 Identify areas of opportunity that through change can result in time savings, complexity reductions, reduced expenses, and or reduced losses, and propose solutions to realize these benefits.
 May preparing annual operating budgets for certain expense accounts.
 Analyzing profit and loss statements by project and analyzing general departmental expenses to identify unusual trends and problem accounts.

 Developing estimate cost for project, controlling and preparing cost control for project progress.
