AIR MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS/ DISPATCHER
Use computer aided dispatch software.
Use air medical dispatch software to figure weights, balances and fuel needs for rotor aircraft.
Operate and maintain radio communications equipment used to dispatch ambulances and rotor aircraft.
Communicate via telephone, radio and email with doctors, patient representatives and in-hospital staff.
Communicate via telephone and radio with ems providers and 911 centers within 200 mile coverage area.
Communicate via radio as medical control direction (MedComm) with ems units inbound to regional trauma center and all other local hospitals.
FIELD PARAMEDIC/ INTERIM SUPERVISOR
Provide patient care as directed by protocol, standing order and direct online medical control.
Provide emergency patient care using established AHA guidelines for ACLS, PALS and BLS.
Clean, stock and maintain readiness of ambulance units as directed by state rules and regulations and as directed by ems service policy.
Establish and maintain high level of professional rapport with emergency department physicians, physician assistants, nurses and techs as well as various other inter-hospital personnel.
Establish and maintain level of professional rapport with nurses and staff at local skilled nursing facilities and assisted living homes.
Assist EMS supervisors with QA and QI programs as needed or directed.
Assist EMS supervisor with ordering and stocking of station supplies as needed.
Maintain weekly crew work schedule for approximately 45-50 personnel
Implement and oversee routine service maintenance schedule for EMS ambulance units.
Resolution of crew complaints.
Customer service as needed to include investigation of complaints and review of ambulance run times and adherence to protocol.
Experienced with use of computer based patient documentation software.
Experienced with use of IV pumps and portable ventilators.
