WORK EXPERIENCE

1) USS Emory S. Land AS-39, Bremerton, Washington (repositioned from La Maddalina, Italy) 4/2003 2/2009

Set up and operated power saws, drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, vertical turret lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical shaper, precision grinding machines, metal disintegrator and portable in-place machining equipment.

Floor Supervisor, Production Manager inside machine shop for two years.
- Supervised and trained 22 30 personnel.
- Evaluated, researched and issued work to machine shop personnel.

Quality Assurance Work Center Supervisor
- Signed Sub Safe, Level One and Technical Work Packages and non controlled work.
- Ultimate authority for in-house inspection process insuring work met technical specifications from blue prints and drawings.
- Zero discrepancies in three years.

Preventative Maintenance Manager
- Scheduled preventative maintenance on 45 machines.
- Resolved equipment related issues in machine shop.
- Completed 1032 annual preventative maintenance checks.
- Conducted individual training for 3M Spot Check surveillance and Danger Tag-Out safety controls, increasing divisional proficiency and adhering to established policies and procedure and safety standards required in an industrial environment.

IPM Manager
- Performed maintenance and repairs on machines.
- Made complex repairs, manufactured parts, ordered parts to lathes, mills, band saw and other equipment.

- Scheduled and coordinated inbound and outbound submarines and surface ships movement including barges, yard derricks, security perimeter, oil booms, and pier configurations on the waterfront.

- Processed and recorded customer service trouble calls and hotel service to pier side units.
Scheduled crane service and tanker trucks through different entities.

- Instrumental in the development of a database to track and consolidate waterfront evolutions. Developed a formal corporate knowledge base to support future fiscal year planning and resolve problems during process reviews.


3) USS Simon Lake AS-33, La Maddalina, Italy 4/1996 10/2000

- Set up and operated power saws, drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, vertical turret lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical shaper, precision grinding machines, metal disintegrator, and portable in-place machining equipment.

- Manufactured Level One, Sub Safe parts such as: epoxy and titanium shim ball valve repairs, babbit line shaft bearings, overhaul pumps, valves silver seal valves, internal splined remote operator, gears and other precision parts.

- Shift Supervisor Divisional Lead hand selected personnel from divisional work centers to complete critical emergent work meeting time sensitive commitments.
