Job Description: Nominated responsible of managing the Document Control Centre in the project.

Note: the client is Alexfert and the main contractor is ThyssenKrupp Uhde GmbH-Germany, as the Subcontractor was Petrojet.
- Establishing and starting up a document control centre in the project from a scratch and Implementing procedures and processes for the document handling in the project for the documents with internal and external origins.
- Logging all documents in the project into the computer software MS Excel and filing them in an appropriate and unique way as known in document control management and as requested by the quality assurance organizations.
- Passing the External Audit made by the quality assurance department of the main contractor's head office (Uhde-Germany) on the project's document control centre, achieving excellent grades and high level of satisfaction from the audit committee.
- Implementing the standard document control procedures.

Job Description: Working as a document controller in the document control centre that manages and maintains updated and obsolete master copies of any kind of document from an ordinary correspondence to reports, manuals and drawings such as isometrics, plot plans-layouts.
Note: The client was a consortium of a group of owners concerning of: BG group, Petronas, EGPC, Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Gaz de France. Bechtel overseas corporation was the main contractor while Petrojet(Egypt) was the subcontractor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Initiating correspondences from draft such as a correspondence to reviewing it after modifications.
• Uniquely identifying the document then saving both a hard copy and electronic soft copy.
• Controlling the document, which means making sure that this document is the recent and most updated and certified by the management before issuing it for release to any other side for field work and is handed over to the concerned person ONLY.
• Distributing this document (correspondence, drawing) to the concerned client or department.
• Logging all kinds and all documents in the centre to a computer database program such as MS Excel as a log.
• Keeping electronic based copies of all documents in the centre in a way that guarantees easy and fast access to each single document such as Adobe Acrobat PDF, which also facilitates printing out the document whatever it was in the time of need.
• Supporting high level administration managers with up to date reports and fast access to the document control centre by means of a local area network to view all titles and documents related to the current attention by the help of the document controller, thus saving time and money.
• Managing the documents and drawings related to the minutes of meeting in coordination with the secretary department to link all issues in the meetings with the appropriate document and action based upon previous related issues.
• Accelerating the flow of documents / drawings of internal / external origins from all departments through implementation of highly developed protocols, processes / procedures of document control.
