| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
I have recently relocated to Tokyo and am now seeking work in the Tokyo/Yokohama area. With an education background in Engineering and eight years of project experience in the oil and gas industry, I would like to take this opportunity to explore new challenges and career opportunities. During my time at Foster Wheeler, I worked on various multi-million dollar projects and also led a number of teams. I feel the skills and capabilities I have developed through this experience are very applicable in other industries and I look forward to the opportunity to explore how I can add value to other organisations.

| 2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory] |
2001-2009 Foster Wheeler Energy Limited
I had a varied experience at Foster Wheeler whilst completing their accredited graduate rotational training scheme. I gained great process design experience, learning to adapt to each new client and challenge, both as part of a large process team and as an individual. I established strong relationships with my mentors and colleagues and found the support that I needed through this network. Upon moving into a more senior position I found that the solid technical grounding gained, and the networks built, to be invaluable tools. My experiences at Foster Wheeler included the following placements:
2006-2009, ExxonMobil, Singapore Parallel Train, Singapore, Lead Process Engineer (2 years, 9 months)
Worked on many different parts of this very large project including offsites and tankage work, but main role was as the Process lead of a team of four engineers on a revamped TransPlus unit and a new Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) unit. In this position I was responsible for ensuring that all Process deliverables were issued on schedule, managing the Process budget including initial scope estimate and subsequent estimates for the changes, manhour planning and managing the client.
2003-2006, Shell Manufacturing Complex, Stanlow, UK, Process and Project Engineer (2 years, 5 months)
Worked as a Process Engineer on numerous projects at basis of design level, basic design and engineering level and EPC level. Projects included a crude unit safeguarding upgrade, replacement of the main site flare header, debottlenecking of part of the Shell higher Olefin plant, aromatics unit furnace upgrade and relief studies on the MEK Dewaxing unit, Crude unit, Neodol unit and MP boilers. Also responsible for setting up low cost engineering centre link for the FW Alliance team at Stanlow and various other project engineering roles.
2003 , Shell, Suncor Clean Fuels Project and Khabarovsk Hydroprocessing Project, UK, Process Engineer (5 months)
Responsible for all aspects of safeguarding on the FEED of both a Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking unit. This involved relief valve sizing, safeguarding memorandum and flare load summary preparation, and PSFD development.
2003, Shell, Goldeneye, UK, Commissioning Engineer (3 months)
Assisted with the preparation of various pre-commissioning/ commissioning procedures and operating manuals in readiness for moving to site.
2003, Various projects, UK, Environmental Engineer (1 month)
Involved with Attahaddy gas plant which required a solution to the exceedance of the CO2 EAL’s. All possible solutions to mitigate the problem were investigated and a report written. Air dispersion modelling was undertaken for Texaco’s Pembroke refinery to assess the impacts that the upgrade projects would have on the surrounding air quality. Conclusions were drawn, a report was written and a presentation given.
2003, DP73, UK, Proposals (1 month)
Assisted with the preparation of the proposal for this confidential project.
2002, Saudi Aramco R&PGP, UK, Process Engineer (5 months)
Involved in a flare study for Saudi Aramco's Riyadh Refinery which included relief load analyses, relief load calculations and relief valve sizing for a number of the refinery units. Assistance was also given to preparation of both the interim and final reports.
2002, Texaco, Pembroke Refinery, UK, Commissioning Engineer (3 months)
Undertook the writing of Operating Manuals for the ULSG II and HRU 2003 I&T projects. Also wrote addendum's to support the Operating Manuals for the HTU-1 and HTU-2 upgrade projects. This involved writing a number of the sections and co-ordinating the production of the overall manual in order to meet the deadlines.
2002, DP73, UK, Process Engineer and Commissioning Engineer (6 months)
The Process work involved coordination of piping and instrument diagrams managing a team of five CAD designers in addition to being responsible for the process design of a number of the utility systems. As a commissioning engineer I performed the segregation of P&ID's into their relevant sub systems and oversaw the implementation of this onto the P&ID's by CAD.
2001, Saudi Aramco, Central and Western Refineries & Samir Refinery, UK, Environmental Engineer (4 months)
Calculations were performed to determine the Sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and particulate emission rates for the refinery before and after the proposed modifications. This data was then used to model the refinery emissions using a simulation package to predict pollutant ground level concentrations.
