 Sold instruments (worth of Rp 50 millions) within the first 5 months as a Sales Engineer.

 Saved the client’s money from purchasing a new vent system to modifying the current one. Provided advice, based on dispersion analysis calculation, to the Lead Process Engineer and clients to elevate the modified vent system in the platform approx. 3 meters above adjacent equipment, building or other structures to perform non-hazardous dispersion.

Chevron Indonesia Company, Kalimantan Operations (KLO), a production sharing and exploration company for Oil, Gas and Geothermal sector on behalf of BP MIGAS Indonesia which is based in USA.

Role and responsibility :
Alvin is promoted and transferred to this position by Chevron KLO leadership and management since 23 December 2008, and work effectively in this position since 01January 2009.

Amec Berca Indonesia (PT ABI) / bp Indonesia, a joint venture company formed between UK-based AMEC plc and Indonesia’s CCM group concentrating in consultation and contractor of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects and asset support services.
Till present,, PT ABI wins the tender to managed all Crane and Lifting Equipment assets of BP Indonesia – West Java, I was Third Party Contract SHEQ Advisor for this Crane and Lifting Equipment upgrading, maintenance, operation and rehabilitation program for bp Indonesia. I spend splittime in giving basic advise and support to other ABI project, Amec plc UK SHEQ Center and giving SHEQ training and support as training assistant to various PSC contractor in Indonesia.


R&R for bp West Java Indonesia :
• SHEQ Advisor and third party employee contract of bp Indonesia – West Java
• Ensure compliance with bp Indonesia and PT ABI HSEQ Management System and Regulatory requirements

• Develop process design basis and report, site survey report, procedures for engineering execution process, material selection report, HAZOP close-out report, HAZID close-out report, SIMOPs review, Escape Way Lay-out drawings, Hazardous Area Classification drawings, Safety Philosophy, Safety Concept, Hazardous Equipment Table, Process & Safety Manhours, Proces & Safety Engineering Execution Plan, line list and equipment list.
• Provide advice to the lead process engineer and other departments in producing internal design standards for equipment sizing and engineering process.
• Prepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Ensure the right PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) are carried during site visit and field survey for Technip’s assigned person.
• Play a major role in HSE (Health, Safety Environment) committee of Technip Indonesia.

Project responsibilities:
• Lead and act as supporting auditor for QA system in Balikpapan office.
• Lead team for As Built execution, and schedule a kick-off meeting with client Operations and Superintendents to obtain detailed data on the existing conditions and installations in the fields.
• Develop As Building guideline procedures for all related disciplines before Site Survey being performed.
• Continuously monitor the performance of Site Survey, and make prompt actions to address technical difficulties. Major technical issues are mostly related to schedule and progress of the site survey, equipment arrangement as per process wise, piping routing, better lay-out for drawings produced, and detail data for process and instrumentation system installed in the fields.
• Analyze the favorable and unfavorable conditions, propose the remedies, generate the comprehensive Site Visit Report after Site Survey, and finally incorporate the findings in the modification plan and advise the most proper and feasible solutions to existing installation in field for process, mechanical, instrumentation and piping system details.
• I also spend split time in developing and maintain project as Project Leader in order to help lead process engineer to manage the process & safety deliverables.
• Prepare and update PFD, P&IDs, Equipment and Instrument Sizing, and Heat & Material Balance for FEED, Conceptual Study, Basic Engineering and Detail Engineering.
