I am an experienced Electrical Engineer with HND certification with a cross training in Marine Engineering.
Experience includes :
Chief Electrical Engineer for both Marine and Offshore vessels/platforms. Assuming responsibility for day to day operation of power and distribution systems and all onboard electrical aspects.
Additionally I have particular experience of:
Rig inspections to MODu Spec.
Project management of high value petrochem installation in refinery and associated applications.
Design and project management of Combined Heat and Power Installations generating up to 12 MW in parallel with National grid.
I am currently available to commence employment as required and seeking Full time/Contract employment in a suitable position.

Joined the Royal Navy in 1965 as an Electrical Artificer Apprentice and retired in 1990 as a Charge Chief Petty Officer Marine Engineering Artificer (Electrical)
GENERAL TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
35 Years Marine Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with a wide experience of a variety of ships systems
6 Years Offshore on Drill ships, semi submersibles and Jack-up rigs
A well experienced engineer in both electrical and mechanical engineering in particular: Marine and Offshore Power Generation and Distribution Both AC (440 – 11KV)and DC (220 -1500V). Operation, maintenance and repair of associated equipment including, Alternators and Generators, Voltage regulation and system protection devices, HV & LV Switchgear, Transformers, SCR systems, Inverters. Machinery control and management systems. AC & DC Motors and control equipment. Stand-by Generation and UPS. LV systems and Battery maintenance/charging systems.
SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE:
Includes: Ships Propulsion systems , fixed and variable propellers. Side and azimuthing Thrusters, Cranes, Winches, Hoists, Boats , Batteries, DP Systems, Centrifuges, HFO treatment plants, Steering gears. All Hotel Services including Galleys and Laundries etc. Fire Alarms systems, CCTV Systems. Secondary and vapour boiler systems etc.
