I am currently working in Iraq contacting for the us army, i am looking into starting work offshore, I've had experience on pipelines, pipelaying vessels

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

(Oct 2002 – June 2006) Apprentice at HQ Engineering LTD,
My main role was in maintenance. I carried out, fault finding and repairing, working with high and low voltage, motors/ generators, switch gear, Ac/Dc ,creating and repairing control panels, maintaining and repairing welding sets and welding equipment, maintaining repairing/installing over head cranes, and general maintenance around the site. Installing power (lights, sockets, switch gear, DC) to narrow boats. I was also installing lights, power outputs, machines, and carried out work on repairing and installing hydraulic systems and mechanical maintenance. Also carried out a lot of electronics repairs, fault finding, and installations.

(June 2006 - Feb 2007) Pipeline Technique,
I was working on a spool base as a electrical/electronic technician; installing power out puts, control circuits, generators, lights, emergency beacons, emergency lighting, telephone outlets, pumps, emergency cut off's. I also carried out maintenance on welding equipment , setting maintenance routines, carrying out ordering, stock checks,. I worked in Germany for pipeline technique on another of the companies’ projects, I carried out general maintenance, I was trained to working with automatic welding such as vermat and sub arc, to which I receive good knowledge on all repair, fault finding and maintenance on these machines, I also worked with PLC’s, and electronics. All the work I carried out was on equipment that is used for and in the offshore industry, also carried out work on the helix express pipelaying vessel.

(April 2007- May 2007) Off Shore Joint Services,
I worked in Houston Texas, I was working as a electrical technician, I carried out maintenance and installation work also was included in a lot of mechanical work, carried out alot of production work creating equipment that is used in the oil/gas industry.i helped to complete some power/control rooms that are used on their various contracts offshore, this was wiring in lights, sockets, air conditioning units, inverters, installing all power supplies

(May 2007 – September 2008) RBC,
I carried out installation work, installing new production lines which include pumps, motors, lighting, containment, control panels, installing new instruments. Carrying out isolations and removing all redundant wiring and equipment and install all new equipment with modifications were needed. My work involved working around dangerous/hazardous substances. Also carried out commissioning around the plant, also I was part of a health and safety team that would carry out regular audits.

(Oct 2008 – Nov 2008) SREC,
I was working independently carrying out a full shop refit, working to the scope of work which I had been provided. I installed all containment, lights, emergency lights, sockets, fire alarms also installed the air conditioning units. I was working around other contractors helping with any jobs that I could.

(Nov 2008 – Dec 2008) Norwest Holst,
Here I was part of a maintenance team which carried out general building maintenance on Wilton redcar. I installed PIR detectors, lights, sockets, emergency lighting, data cabinets, PAT tested offices, kitchens, workshops, installing data cables through out the building for web phone upgrades. Also just general maintenance on lights sockets appliances and all electrical equipment.

(Dec 2008 – Feb 2009) Balfour Kilpatrick,
I was working on Hartlepool Nuclear power station on the BCU upgrade. I was carrying out installation of safety systems, glanding/terminating, installing containment, frame work, instruments. Running cables, carrying out all testing and fault finding, and commissioning.

(Feb 2009 – April 2009) LJ Monks,
I was carrying out installation of new plant equipment on a sewage treatment plant. This included glanding and terminating, wiring control panels and the termination/testing of these panels, instrumentation, containment, testing and fault finding. All electrical commissioning.

(April 2009 – May 2009) Doosan Babcock,
I was part of the electronics team,my job was to make sure all the electronic equipment was in good working order and prepared prior to the shut downs on the nuclear sites. I would carry out modifications and repairs on weld heads (installing cameras, lights, motors...) so that the machines could run independently inside the reactor. All equipment was created in the workshop there was video units, weld heads, umbilical cables, test equipment all necessary for the shut-downs. Once on site my job was to maintain and repair these as fast as possible to minimise down time to keep the job running. I covered all aspects of electronical side

(May 2009 – present) KBR,
I am currently working in Iraq, carrying out maintenance and installation on military sites. I carry out all testing (earth loop, IR, continuity, polarity) on living/working units. Installing good earthing systems, working on generators, lighting, three phase, single phase, British/American standards. Working from new large installations to just general maintenance of the sites. Working as a journeyman electrician I have a small group of electrician who work under me, so I have to make sure all safety, paperwork is completed and correct.
