I am a recent college graduate, and I would like to be considered for the project controls specialist position located in Saudi Arabia. I have a Bachelors of Science in Construction Systems Management and I have worked at American Electric Power which is the largest owner of transmission lines in America and is also one of the largest generators of electricity, producing 38,000 megawatts. I would like to have an opportunity to travel abroad and gain international experience. I am very motivated and eager to lead, but I am also willing to learn and follow orders. I am single with no dependants, and am ready and willing to relocate anywhere in the world immediately. At this juncture in my career, I am willing to work in any geographic condition that will allow me to contribute the most to the team and develop personally. I believe that I have the knowledge and determination in order to help lead a project team. If I am given an interview for this position I will elaborate and detail exactly how I plan on tracking multiple projects from start to finish. From establishing a Work Breakdown Structure to the processes and methods associated with tracking and monitoring the project once the framework has been made. I am qualified for consideration for this position based on my knowledge of the subject matter, and I am confident that my experience from being in construction management, estimating, and project controls will prove adequate. American Electric Power- (May 2009 - June 2009) Project Controls Specialist – Field Position
DC Cook Nuclear Power Plant, Bridgman, Michigan (Project Management - Unit 1 Turbine Repair)
-Integrated the cost and schedule for the Unit 1 turbine generator forced outage.
-Updated project performance metrics (Schedule/Cost Performance Indexes).
-Helped develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) which linked cost, schedule, and scope of work.
-Maintained the integrity of the $172 million budget by using approved dollars as efficiently as possible and recycling unused money on contracts and purchase orders back into the project.
-Exported schedule activities from Primavera (P3.)
-Established and maintained the project contingency line.
-Communicated the weekly project status report and Key Performance Indicators to the management team.
-Worked closely with lead schedulers and accountants to make sure that each activity was properly coded.

American Electric Power-(December 2008 - April 2009) Co-Op/Cost Analyst
AEP Headquarters, Columbus, Ohio (Project Cost Controls Department)
-Forecasted controllable costs and updated the Estimate-At-Complete on several associated projects related to the $1.2 billion Flue Gas Desulfurization, Electrostatic Precipitator, and Selective Catalytic Reduction retrofit on the John Amos Plant in West Virginia.
-Monitored project costs against the authorized project funding.
-Updated project forecasts to reflect any scope changes, settlements, claims, and/or back charges.
-Provided analysis of variances and Estimate-To-Completes, when a commitment did not equal the EAC.
-Assessed AEP’s monthly unvouchered liabilities.
-Interfaced directly with accountants, field cost technicians, and project managers to reclassify costs from one budget to another when misallocations of costs occurred.

-Built the schedule template in Primavera before it was resource loaded.
-Performed slump tests and air entrainment tests of chimney stack concrete under the supervision of the civil construction coordinators to ensure proper water and air content according to specifications.
-Monitored the stroke counts of auger cast piles to ensure that the proper depth and amount of grout were achieved according to specifications under the supervision of the geotechnical engineer.
