City & Guilds trained automotive technician, with over 30 years mechanical repair experience, including both petrol & diesel Cars, HGV, Plant, Specialist Engineering and some Rail power units. Extensive experience in the planning and organisation of service, repair & planned preventive maintenance of operational mechanical equipments. Leadership experience with both UK and foreign national workforces, utilising both team and individual skills to produce effective repair solutions. Some experience with negotiation for the outsourcing of technical repair of specialist equipments i.e. Heavy plant, Specialist Road-marking equipments, where facilities did not carry on-site capabilities for repair solutions. Flexible attitude, team player, works v.well under pressure, ablity to rapidly absorb new skills and practices where required. Can produce simple and effective reports to all management levels.
