Product Certification:

As a senior, responsible for the activities related to the analysis and for the finished products Coordinating with tank form storage units for the sampling and transportation of samples to the Laboratory. Closely monitoring the analytical activities pertained to refinery finished products Viz. : LPG , Superior Kerosene , High Speed Diesel Oil , Gasoline , Naphtha , Furnace oils & Petrochemical Products Viz. : Paraxylene , Orthoxylene etc . Analysis is being carried out based on the customers required specifications . After conformation of the analytical results , product tanks will be certified based on the customer required specifications .

Raw Materials

All the incoming Raw materials will be analyzed for Quality conformation test in Central Laboratory . Consumption of Raw materials will takes place after getting quality conformation report from the Laboratory .

Crude oil samples from the Tank farm storage before and after receipts will be analyzed for Density , Sulfur & BS&W . Crude oil samples from ship tankers ( Samples from load port ) will be analyzed for quality conformation in the presence of third party representative .

Wet Laboratory Activities :

Utilities ,Desalination,Refinery, Captive Power Plants):

Regular process control analysis is being done on samples from Utilities and Power Plant.
Desalinated water ,DM water and potable water is being tested for pH , Conductivity, Turbidity, TDS, Chloride, Alkalinity ,Hardness, H2S & other all water analysis.
All types of effluent water analysis & R.O Plant analysis daily routine parameters carried out.

GC Laboratory Activities :

GC Laboratory is having various types of Gas Chromatographs integrated with Multidimensional and Multifunctional techniques for various dedicated analysis like (RGA) Viz: Analysis of samples for hydrocarbon groups, Boiling point distribution ,H2S and trace C0,CO2 analysis. In routine shifts following activities being carried out in GC Laboratories .

Know the techniques about the HTSD (ASTM D 7169) & Low Oxygenates compound methodology for the Naphtha streams with the standard Low Oxy methods.

LIMS , ISO 9000 & ISO 17025 ( NABL ) Activities :

Customization of Perkin –Elmer SQL LIMS Version 5.0 (Laboratory Information Management System)

On completion of analysis all the results of process intermediates as well as finished products samples are being feed in to LIMS (Laboratory information & Management system ).Updating the results of online samples after verification . Preparing quality certificates & Test reports from the data's available in LIMS . Certificates of Finished products and results for the process intermediates will be available to the end users in LIMS through Local Area Network. Daily analysis and exceptional reports for process intermediate and finished products are made available from the system .Interact with Operations and IT crews for the configuration of samples and parameters in LIMS system.
Follow the ISO 17025:2005 methodology for the Quality system & enhance the day to day activities with the use of 17025 Guideline.

Spectro & Furnace Laboratory Activities :(ICP-Perkin-Elmer 3100DV)

Fe,Cu,Pb,Al,Ni,Si,V,Na,Co Metals in ppm and ppb levels are analysed in various process intermediate samples from Refinery processing units on weekly basis as per Central Technical services requirement.Use same for different types of Naphtha analysis also,& running it for waste water metal analysis also on monthly basis.Different kinds of Lube oils are also analysed for heavy metals also.Raw material like Calcium chloride for Hg, As ,Mg etc.. are analysed on special cases.

Use Euroglass inst.to analysed T.S,T-Cl & TN test in PPM level for regular refinery products & also use for aromatics & petrochemicals products for specially T-S analysis. Also using latest methods for very low PPM TS in Aromatic stream samples with the ASTM methods like D 5453 & D 4045.

Use Shimadzu5000A make Total Carbon Analyser Inst.to measure TOC analysis for waste water samples also measured cooling tower samples & condensate samples upto 0-4000 ppm level.


PREVIOUS EMPLOYER IN PATEL ANA LAB:

In Patel Ana Lab I was connected with the wet analysis of effluent treatment plant coming from various industries.In effluent water I had done lots of parameter which I described above in wet testing column.

Apprenticeship in Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd

In G S F C, during the apprenticeship I was working in caprolactum plant which is the raw material of Naylon-6. During this period I am familiar with handling the pump, compressor, turbine and other equipments related to plant side.
