1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Dear Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to you to express my interest in employment as a LPN or Graduate Nurse. I have a 3-year Diploma in Nursing from Romania and more than 11 years experience in acute care. I graduated in April 2009 with a certificate in Nursing from the Norquest College Edmonton and wrote my CLPNE exam on May 20, 2009. I am also in the process of obtaining my RN license in Alberta.
As a very competent individual with a high work ethic, I offer you organizational skills and many other abilities that are imperative to the nursing profession. Past preceptors and supervisors have all commented on my ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a level of enthusiasm for the project at hand.
As indicated on my resume, I was employed during the Summer of 2008 as an Undergraduate Nurse in the Long Term Care at the Allen Gray Continuing Care Center. During March-April 2009, I conducted my practicum in the Medicine Unit 7W and Surgery Urology Unit 5E at the Misericordia Hospital Edmonton. I also completed an RN clinical at University of Alberta Hospital where I gained exposure to another outstanding aspect of the facility. Through this experience, I have been able to see first hand the excellent quality of patient care, the cooperative multi-disciplinary approach, and progressive techniques that are trademarks of these hospital.
Thank you for the time to review my resume. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. I would welcome the chance to meet with you personally to discuss not only my educational background but possible employment opportunities on a casual position as well.
