Introducing New Market Line, Growing Company Revenue. Large equipment sales were declining rapidly due to continued drought. Investigated consumer equipment market and discovered new line of industrial equipment, mowers and tractors.

Negotiated distributorship, established new territory and aggressively marketed product line. Successfully diversified organization and increased company sales 36% in the first year.

Driving Growth through Exclusive Distribution Channels. To counteract declining sales, actively pursued partnership with the Home Depot. Networked, negotiated and positioned company to earn exclusive contract for turnkey SF&I program for 39 stores in two-state region. Creating Sales Department, Improving Production. Thirty-five year old organic recycling/renewable energy business had no formal sales department. Hired and trained sales personnel, mentored sales manager. Increased first quarter sales 14% over previous quarter.

Developing Finance Options, Propelling Sales Growth. Closing ratios were unacceptably low. Researched marketing options to increase sales without lowering prices. Found several finance companies to partner with, streamlining buying process. By purchasing points, able to offer low-interest and no-interest loans on large equipment purchases. Trained and led teams to sell new options, doubling closing ratio to 60% in three months.


Sales Process and Management Consultant/Interim VP of Sales, A-1 Organics, 2008 to Present. Collaborated with C level company executives to re-engineer and develop the sales department. Redesigned compensation structure, implemented a CRM program and matrix system to measure sales department effectiveness. Hired, trained and developed top-performing sales talent. Director of Sales and Marketing, ViewPoint Vinyl, 2004 to 2008. Joined startup manufacturer and distributor of vinyl, iron, and wood fencing products. District Sales Manager, Cattleman’s Choice Loomix, LLC., 2001 to 2004. Recruited by $25M supplier of cattle feed products to oversee and train up to 30 agents, dealers, and sales representatives covering southern Wyoming, northern Colorado and Western Nebraska. Recruited 20 new dealers over three-year period. Efforts led to winning the company’s “Above and Beyond” award, Sales Manager of the Year award and Employee of the Year award.

Sales Manager, Frontier Equipment Co., 1999 to 2001. Promoted to manage team of six sales representatives in three-state area. Developed marketing plan and delivered presentation to C-level executives to secure a new product line for distribution. Increased team’s closing ratio to well over 60% by introducing exclusive products and sourcing multiple financing and leasing alternatives.
