| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
I have approximately 5 years of experience as an engineer together with 9 years experience as an attorney. As an attorney, I worked extensively with landowner and landmen to secure right-of-ways and easements, as well as responding to inquiries by mineral owners, land owners and their attorneys. I also acquired extensive experience in working with the various government regulatory bodies that regulated exploration and production operations.
Starting in 2004, I left my full-time position as an attorney with my law firm to work with a small exploration and production company, Black Diamond Energy, in the Powder River Basin coal bed methane play. In addition to dealing with various regulator, land and legal issues, I was responsible for working with local vendors to insure each location would have needed infrastructure in place for production operations upon completion of wells.
For a brief period, I worked for CBM Associates, Inc. as their operations manager in the Powder River Basin managing a staff of 60+ people and managing various projects involving for exploration and production companies in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming.
I left this position in early 2006 to accept a contract position with Enerplus Resources Corporation as a project coordinator here in Denver, which was closer to my family. Enerplus is a Canadian based company that purchased Lyco Energy for the purpose of starting up U.S. operations. Enerplus' sole asset at the time was the Bakken Oil Shale plan in Eastern Montana. After a period of 8 months, Enerplus hired me as a full-time employee to be their production engineer.
As a production engineer with Enerplus, I was responsible for working closely with field personnel and their reservoir engineers to schedule and complete cased holes, as well as monitor daily production and recommend potential workovers and repairs. At the time, the Bakken Shale was a relatively new reservoir and we spent a lot of time reviewing well performance, completion techniques and infill well development opportunities using decline curves, well histories and logs. As the field matured and more knowledge was obtained about the reservoir, our focus shifted to optimizing our fracturing techniques and optimizing production, including the use of Theta Oil Field S.C.A.D.A systems and IHS's PowerTools. As the production engineer, I was responsible for identifying, recommending and preparing the economic justifications for the 30+ refracs that were done, as well as scheduling 7 workover/completion rigs.
In the Summer of 2008, I was offered a position with Berry Petroleum to be a Senior Production Engineer in the Piceance Basin of Colorado. At the time, Berry was ramping up operations in the Piceance basin and had plans to drill and complete approximately 1,000 wells in the Mesaverde formation of the Williams fork. (2,000 feet of stacked pay requiring multi-stage completions of non-continuous sands) My focus was to be on reducing completions cycle time, costs and optimizing production, as well as implementing a corrosion program and reviewing water management alternatives. As an engineer there, I was involved in reviewing daily production from wells and recommending candidates for optimization to field personnel. (Berry Petroleum used the Ferguson-Beauguard system to monitor production and control the plungers on their gas wells.) I also was the lead on implementing a corrosion mitigation program and provided recommendations on alternative water management options to reduce completion and production costs.
In March 2009, Berry sold one of its assets and restructured its asset teams as a result of the declining gas price environment. As a result of the decline in gas prices, Berry ceased drilling operations in the Piceance basin and laid off approximately 40% of the Piceance Basin asset team.
I think I would have a lot of value to offer the right oil and gas company. In all of the basins and oil and gas projects I have worked on, we were keenly focused on how to improve the field without reducing the economics of the field, which in these uncertain economic times, is key to successful development.

| 2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory] |
I have over 5 years of experience as a production engineer, and 9 years as an attorney working for oil and gas companies. I am extremely capable of planning the development of large oil and gas projects and navigating the various agencies and permitting requirements to execute a development plan. I am also proficient at monitoring, maintaining and optimizing production from existing fields, including the use of remote monitoring applications and management of field personnel. I have experience with both sucker rod lift and plunger lift operations. I am very capable of preparing both the technical and economic considerations for project develpment and presenting to management teams at all levels.
