7.1 From Jan.2006 Till in progress
7.1.1 Cost Recovery/ Receivable Controlling in Centurion Petroleum Corporation (currently DANA GAS)
Centurion Energy International Inc. is an international oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The company is engaged in oil and gas exploration and production with its properties currently located in Egypt, Tunisia and offshore West Africa.
Centurion was incorporated in 1997 and since then has built a solid reserve base of over 97 million boe. Aggressive expansion of Centurion’s Nile delta natural gas properties in Egypt are fuelling an exponential growth profile that resulted in 2005 exit production rate of 38,000 boe per day. A multi-well drilling program is currently underway to further explore and develop Centurion's lands in the Nile Delta region of Egypt.
Additionally Centurion has a huge land position of over 4.8 million net acres in Egypt and world class exploration properties in Tunisia and Sao Tome/Nigeria JDZ.
The corporation was acquired by DANA GAS since Jan.2007.
ResponsibilitiesTasks:
- Analyzing all expenditures incurred by the joint venture company and classify costs to main activities (Capex, Opex, Indirect cost G&A) and on monthly basis.
- Accountable for preparation of cost/Oil recovery statements submitted to EGPC & E-Gas on a Quarterly basis.
- Prepare monthly consolidation to JVs cost statements and to assist AFE's tracking control.
- Control Joint Venture cash funding (cash call, debit note) & preparing monthly cash reports showing transferred funds, expenditures and remaining bank cash balances reconciled to cash book.
- Review quantities information per type of product (Gas, Condensate, and LPG) plus pricing calculations of sale on monthly basis. Reviewing sales invoices and checklist to ensure the completeness of documentation.
- Assist in preparation of the operating/capital budgets by preparing relevant cost data, and allocation of indirect costs reports.
- Assist Financial Controller in the preparation of consolidated and segmented analysis of the financial result each month end, quarter and year end.
- Preparing various reports including financial projections, reconciliation reports and accrual reports.
Control opening & closing stock balances per type of product monthly.
- Control of capital assets and processing depreciation entries.
- in time control & reconcile Intercomany accounts and receivable accounts as well.
- Follow & apply SOX control procedures through the revenue cycle & centurion accounting system “IDEAS”.
- Insuring proper recording of payable invoices into the accounting system and insure the payment controls are applied & follow the payment runs on due date.
- Preparing cash call, periodic reconciliation of cash payments & bank statements.
- Participate & assist chief accountant in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the accounts for cost recovery purposes and preparing cost recovery statement.
- Responsible for various tasks in connection with the governmental audits/ auditors.


8.1 From Feb.2000 till Dec.05
8.1.1 Accountant in General Accounting Dept. in South Dabaa Petroleum Co.(DAPETCO)
DAPETCO is a Joint Venture Company Between Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and HBSI (a leading Tunisian Co.). DAPETCO is a new leading company in the field of exploration, drilling, producing & using crude oil & Gas.
ResponsibilitiesTasks:
8.1.1 Excellent Accountant in General Accounting Department :
• Account control for cost recovery and cost allocation including exploration, drilling, projects, operations and all relevant indirect costs.
• Preparing cost recovery statements in monthly/quarterly/and yearly basis to be sent to EGPC and foreign partner (HBSI CO.).
• Warehouse stock control, monitoring of in/out, monthly reporting of movement and balance.
• Analysis and control of capital assets (fixed & movable).
• Financial analysis and control to company Receivable Accounts.
• Third party invoicing and back charges control.
• Preparing bank reconciliation, preparing entries, tax duties, payroll system and participate in preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements.
• High Profession in use of Great Plain Dynamic Systems.

8.2 From November 1999 till February 2000:
• An accountant in General Accounts Division in the Egyptian Co. For Food (FARAG Group) in Alex city.
8.2.1 Brief Description of Responsibilities &Tasks:
• Receiving and reviewing invoices provided by sales representatives to be processed into system accounts.
• Ware-house control and monitoring inventory daily movements (in /out).
• Monitoring daily and monthly sales rate and prepare relevant reports and financial statements.

B.Sc Degree in Commercial Studies – (English Accounting Section) 1999, From TANTA University, Egypt.
• Graduation Grade: Good
• Diploma in Finance & Banking (Arab Academy for Science and technology-Egypt)
• Currently I am preparing my second year MBA.
