As a senior process engineer with 20 years of solid work experience in the oil & gas industry, I have been actively involved in many high profile projects for Shell, Husky, Petro-Canada, Albian Sands Energy, Devon, Marathon and NIOC. In addition, I have worked with major EPC Companies such as Colt, AMEC, SNC Lavalin, and Shaw Group. I have made a major impact on increasing production, troubleshooting, plant optimization, saving energy, capital and operating costs in the following projects:

• Devon: SAGD glycol system troubleshooting, increased production by 70% and saved 9MM$/yr in energy.
• Marathon: Catlettsburg Refinery (220,000 BPSD) Relief and flaring system detail design.
• Petro-Canada: Froth treatment, SRU, TSRU and VRU design optimization, and saved 15MM$ on Capex and 34 MM$/yr on Opex.
• Husky: SAGD glycol system and utility & offsite design and saved 10MW energy.
• Shell: Albian Sands Froth Treatment and Extraction De-bottlenecking for increasing capacity from 180,000 to 220,000 BPSD, saved 2MM$/yr on Opex.
• NIOC: Efsehan Refinery (400,000 BPSD) fuel conversion for fuel oil to 220,000 Nm3/hr natural gas, saved 13MM$/yr in Opex.

• Quantified production increase associated with increased overflow chillers duty and with reduced solvent temperature
• Revised the Process Flow Diagrams of Froth Treatment, Solvent, Vapour and Tailing Recovery Units (CCD, SRU, VRU & TSRU), Closed loop recycle cooling water and Utilities
• Created HYSYS models for above mentioned units in existing and de-bottlenecking cases
• Turned over HYSYS models to Albian’s process engineers and trained them in their use
