CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear Sir/Madam,

It gives me great pleasure in applying for a full-time position as a graduate engineer in your esteemed organization.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Science degree in petroleum engineering at the Univ. of Texas, Austin. I shall be completing this degree by December, 2009. My undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering, which I received in September 2002 from UVCE Bangalore, India.

Post under-graduate degree I was campus recruited by J Ray McDermott at their Dubai office. At McDermott as part of the graduate engineer development program, I have worked under different divisions within the organization, namely field engineering, subsea pipe-lay engineering, fabrication production and installation engineering. The work force in McDermott is large multicultural which warrants employees to poses strong interpersonal skills within and outside the particular division. In the five years at McDermott I have been required to perform basic and complex engineering tasks and come out with engineering solutions or economic evaluations, while interfacing with team members or contractors within and outside the division.

At the University I am working as a full-time research assistant on the field of “pore scale network modeling”. My supervising professor is Dr. Matthew Balhoff and co-supervisor being Dr. Steven Bryant. The objective of the research is to develop a pore network simulator in order to compute permeability’s of subject rock samples. The programming language that is being used is Fortran-90.

I thank you for taking your time to review my resume and I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my education, practical skills, and background would qualify me for a full-time position.
