Working as a Operation Engineer (Trainee) in the Indian Oiltanking LPG Terminal, Manali, Chennai. The plant operation involves of receiving LPG trough pipeline transfer from the Chenai Petroleum Corporation Limited, storage of the received LPG in horizontal Pressure Vessels and dispatching it trough Tank trucks and to the nearby bottle filling plant trough pipe line. Work responsibility is to make sure the Plant automation works at high accuracy and with out any fault. The Plant is fully automated one connected with redundant Field bus, Ethernet and Optical Fiber network with field instruments like Mass Flow Meter, Level Instruments like Radar Gauge and Servo Gauge, Proximity Instruments and other Instruments. The plant is controlled with a Supervisory Control System and PLC Panel Boards and other local field controllers.
LPG Bottling Plant :
Job Description :
The plant is fully automated LPG filling kiosk to supply for the retail customer from domestic cylinders to industrial use cylinders. Its main automation consist of a Kosan Crisplant Carousel which has a filling capacity of 1500 Cylinders per hour. And also the automated Quality checking machines and cap fixing and sealing units. My major job is to maintain proper online operation of the automated system and weekly shutdown maintenance.
Decommissioning and Commissioning of LPG Storage Vessels :
Job Description :
The four LPG storage Vessels (Horizontal Mounted Bullets) had to be decommissioned for the statutory testing of them. And re commissioned for storage used. My job was to supervise the third party contractors from various companies for the above described work from the NDT testers to the third party consultants for the successive completion of the project. And all the bullets were successfully decommissioned and re commissioned within prescribed time schedule.

Project: Microcontroller Based Carbon Monoxide(CO) Prevention Mechanism in Cars.
Project consists of developing an automated system which monitors and Controls the amount of Carbon monoxide present inside Cars which is highly Poisonous.
The Automation System is controlled by PIC16f877 microcontroller and Platinized Tin-oxide catalyst sensor.
The sensor senses the amount of CO gas present in the environment and indicates the value in ppm in a LCD screen. When the amount of CO exceeds dangerous levels three steps of action is taken according to the level of CO present like alarming the driver, opening the window to bring fresh air and compensate the CO presence and to shut down the engine when the amount of CO is fatal. The actions taken are taken according to EU standards and recommendations and Fact about CO gas.
The Project was my Brain Child, and I worked with my fellow Department Mates to realize this project, and it was a success. I framed the architecture for the project and worked in all parts of the project work to realize the project.
