I bring with me over 14 years of EHS experience. I am a degreed Chemical Engineer with a secondary degree in Environmental Science. I am familiar with LADEQ regulations and have an extensive background in OSHA safety regulations. I have successfully completed the OSHA 500 and 501 courses, am certified through the RED Cross as a CPR/FA/AED Instructor and have an extensive track record in Safety Training in both English and Spanish.
Through my 14 years in the field of EHS, I have been employed as a Safety Coordinator for various labor intensive companies as well as consulted in a wide variety of processes and product manufacturers.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

2006-2009 Sr. Regional EHS Specialist Kinder Morgan, LLC New Orleans, LA
As a Regional EHS Specialist I was required to be a general subject matter expert involving all aspects of EHS compliance for 27 bulk, liquid and pipeline Terminals along the Mississippi River throughout five Southern States. Several of these facilities had barge repair and cleaning operations as well as floating dry docks and maintained their own fleet of tug boats which required an up to date knowledge of various EHS requirements and permits required by the USCG and State Regulatory Agencies. My Responsibilities for implementation and development of multiple health, safety and environmental tasks including, but not limited to, employee and contractor safety, safety training, incident investigation, emergency response, industrial hygiene monitoring, facility and vessel security plans, waste management and SWPPP, SPCC plans. Other responsibilities included the following task assignments.
• Ensured compliance with air, water, and waste regulatory regulations
• Promoted EHS awareness by building on existing culture and programs strengths, contributing communication with all level employees, and promoting positive reinforcement of safety and health rules and regulations
• Identified and developed a management process safety plan that ensured compliance with (PSM), and (RMP)
• Conducted formal and informal site audits, internal and contractor job audits and routine walk around in order to maintain and or establish compliance with set site specific EHS standards and policies.
• Developed all sites specific Safety and Environmental training curriculum for Management and Operational personnel, while aggressively traveling though out the region in order to comply with “total” compliance goals established by EHS corporate.
• Trained and certified all First Responder personnel at all sites.
• Served as Facility Security Officer and maintained site security plan


2005 - 2006 Zone Safety Lead, EE & G New Orleans, LA
• Responsible for supervising five Safety Technicians and taking full responsibility over a twenty square mile area
• Conducted all aspects of Safety Training for all contractors throughout all areas of operation in English and Spanish
• Insured that all aspect of construction debris removal and demolition where performed in safe manner
