Position Description The engineer will work as mechanical engineer in SGED. The engineer will provide contracting, technical, and engineering support to plants piping & vessels for all plants under SAOO. Some of the responsibilities of the engineer will be to: Review engineering design packages before implementation and propose/follow up the execution plan as required. Initiate & follow up on contract scope for facilities piping and vessels repair/replacement and re-conditioning for all SAOO GOSPs, WIPs and wells. Work with vendor technical representatives to identify new tools & technique to maintain pipes & vessels integrities. Provide required support to other operating & Mtce. Div. as required. Participate in investigation teams for the analysis of leaks & vessels/pipes coating/weld failures.
Comments The engineer will work with South Ghawar Engineering Division (SGED) which is one of the divisions under South Ghawar Producing Department (SGPD).
Minimum Requirements A. EDUCATION: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. B. EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years in the oil industry or similar process industry. Experience must be such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as being capable of project and design assignments beyond the ability of the basic professional engineer.
C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: A thorough knowledge of English is required to perform analyses and studies in depth, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements; Arabic not required but considered desirable for American incumbents in this position. D. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US and Aramco Codes, Standards and Specifications.
