Reporting to Director of Offshore Operations / VP Operations, this job is responsible for management of Offshore Installation and associated activities on advisory role.
At least 20 years of experience with Offshore Operators and/or Offshore Construction Contractors, from two different sides of the maritime industry of which at least 10 years’ experience in shore ship management and shipping agency business with strong knowledge in ship management from repair and maintenance to chartering , purchasing, safety, preparing the office and the vessels for ISM and ISO cods including manuals and documentation preparation as well as conducting internal and onboard audits, chartering, planning, staff management and cost control ,Shipyard, Dry docks and Maritime inspection experience.
Familiarity with current HSSE and Quality Management methodology, tools and techniques.
Ability to provide functional strategic planning.
Ability to effectively motivate, lead and support a multi-cultural team.
Ability to adopt a dynamic, problem solving approach to tasks.
Must comply with the Company Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) requirements.
Familiar with UAE marine regulations.
Familiar with Abu Dhabi Operating Companies (ADMA/ZADCO) marine regulations.
Advisory role in the following areas,
o Rig moves in offshore oil fields
o Preparations of anchor patterns for moored vessels
o Selection, and mob/demob of Anchored vessels and Dynamic positioning vessels
o Towage of construction and cargo barges.
o Coordination with Marine warranty Surveyors.
Assignment includes advising on all marine operations related to the projects handled by the Company including marine inspections, anchors handling, HSE aspects, marine risk management, Client relations, crew management and all other marine aspects related to the execution of projects.
Additionally will be in charge of the safeguarding of the company's reputation as a safe as well as qualified company in the offshore construction field.
Assignment also includes subcontractors’ vessel inspection and verification, including lifesaving, firefighting and compliance to regulations and international standards, also tanks, hull, and deck equipment and testing requirements inspections. This also includes the necessary activities to develop and monitor work procedures for vessel movements, personnel and material inventory and all other onboard activities. Additionally recommends and implements policies pertaining to marine personnel and vessel operation.
